Attention SUP players

I'm planning on skipping the first week of games and start with the SUP on Sept 3rd games and after. Just a heads up. My software can't handle a team that is an underdog two weeks straight and I don't want to know if it can handle a team being an underdog and favored in the same "week".

Yeah, I know, I was trying to be funny.

Well, I'm not trying to be funny. I'm working on the SUP contest but the web page that I get the odds from changed their format and I'm trying to relearn enough perl to fix my code while on pain meds and muscle relaxers for muscle spasms in my neck and back. Not working too well tonight but it is coming.

Please look over this week's contest and let me know if there are any obvious errors. I tried looking it over and didn't see anything that stood out but I'm on drugs and probably shouldn't be trusted. If there are any glaring errors, I'll have to update the contest. Sorry about that. This usually works itself out after the first week of the season. Seems like there were a ton more games with odds listed. I may have to get rid of some of the obscure games as the odds may be suspect.

I managed to make it past the issue with the Oddstrader page. Now I found I have an even bigger problem with reading the "Rupp Rafters" web page. My normal web scraper code now gets a "403 FORBIDDEN" error trying to read the pages. It appears that they don't want me reading the threads with a scraper so now I don't know how I'll get the predictions or the SUP picks. I may not get this done in time to run either contests this week. My technology is getting pretty long in the tooth.

Darn! I'm still having problems getting the picks and predictions since I can't read the thread. I'm having to rewrite both the SUP and prediction code that reads Rupp Rafters. And I am still on muscle relaxers and pain pills. Can't concentrate. I can read the first post now but I'm going to have a big problem with the time stamps. We might have to play a few weeks before I can get it scored properly.

By the way, just to let you know….. my pick for Week 1 was actually Massachusetts, not Tulane.
