that Newton admitted to everything but didn't implicate AU in any wrong doing. Is there any chance they and Cecil didn't know that shopping your kid makes him ineligible?

Auburn actually made this thing worse in the media because of their reactions or lack thereof. If they had come out in the very beginning and said, "Look, we don't know what all is going on but we are cooperating with the NCAA investigation. Right now we are being told that Cam Newton is eligible to play and we don't want to punish him for issues that may or may not affect his eligibility." I think the entire world would have simmered down just a bit. But all those bastards attacking us for following the rules just made the leaks compound.Frexzell said:.... because Cecil Newton's statement is EXACTLY what MSU has been saying all along: Cecil sought money, we said no, and we informed the SEC. That is it; nothing about AU or Cam, and because of that, the AU fanbase and Alabama media went crazy. Now, they are rejoicing. We have been consistent from the beginning. It is the AU reaction that has been all over the map.
