was only a matter of time before the smoldering sparks erupted and a
destructive fire was unleashed; the man furiously fanning the flames has
been relentless in his quest.

For the last two decades, the
dark side of SEC football rivalry has been fomented by an unprincipled
opportunist who makes his money preying on the most base instincts of
the weak-minded, using his microphone every week day to whip his
cult-like followers into a mad frenzy. He finally helped one step over
the edge. Strike one up for the Jerry Springer of Alabama sports radio.

Let
me be clear here, the person that killed the Toomer's Oaks committed
his act on his own, but his hate was cultivated by the toxic atmosphere
of the Paul Finebaum Radio Show. The man poisoned the trees alone, but
Finebaum essentially handed him the the herbicide. And like a good
disciple, the poisoner called his mentor to brag and to get approval for
what he had done.

I wonder what Finebaum thinks of the
creation he has wrought? Is he peering in from a quiet place like a
pyromaniac returning to the scene of his crime?

Paul? If there
is a remote wisp of a conscience anywhere in your pitiful being, I hope
you will listen to it. This is as much on your hands as it is on the
man who will go to jail for this act.

Auburn fans and Alabama fans are crazy on their own, but Finebaum does pray on them and he does stoke the flames, which is why his show is so entertaining.

As much disgust as Finebaum may actually feel toward the act itself, deep down I'm sure he's happy to know that he just received material that will bolster his show's ratings for a few weeks, if not longer.

Finebaum has to be the luckiest SOB in the word. He is a glorified secretary basically answering the telephone and taking whatever side is prudent at the time. Then he cashes a big check. These idiots in Alabama have absolutely no idea what he's doing..and I think it's funny.

Patently ridiculous. Like Chris Rock said, "What ever happened to crazy?". And Iagree. Not that this even remotely touches something like Columbine, but when stuff like this happens people are so anxious to make it video games, movies, music, tv shows, etc, etc. It's always stupid and its never right. Moron went and effed up the trees because he's uneducated white trash that has nothing in his life but the feats and fortunes of the athletic accomplishments of a school he didn't even attend.

the class clown is the guy streaking at the football game. The class comedian is the guy behind the goalpost smirking holding his clothes.

is that none of the insane sonofabitches on either side has made an assassination attempt on his life. They kill each other and pull this tree ****, etc. He is hated by both sides. I really can't believe he hasn't been shot or blown up yet.
