For those not following along, here is what I have
pieced together so far.
APD receives a tip that a driver has dropped the suspect, Desmonte Leonard, off
at a residential home in a new neighborhood in E. Montgomery (random house).
Soon after the homeowner makes a 9-1-1 call saying the suspect is sitting on
her couch.... (WTF??) Then she immediately leaves the area. (Excuse me one
moment total stranger on my couch while I make a phone call, would you like a
beverage?) 15 minutes later APD as well as MPD arrive at the house, ambulances,
fire truck, helicopter, etc.

Around 6 P.M. men in bullet proof vests set off flash bangs
and enter the house, a border collie is evacuated. (As to not piss off PETA)
The mayor confirms there is someone holed up in the attic and the person has
been hit repeatedly with tear gas, but has endured. A tactical team is brought
in to ascend into the attic. Tactical team is replaced by US Marshall group. 15
FT long fiberglass poles are brought in to rip the sheet rock from underneath
him, at this point officers have used "technology", thermal, to
determine the suspect is alive and in the attic. It's now been 5 hours but the
officials will not confirm who is in the attic and still have no visual. The
fiberglass poles are carried back out of the house unused. (Didn't need those.)
The mayor says “it’s very, very hot" in the attic and the officers have to
wear gas masks. (OK, good. So they made it up and are about to apprehend our
suspect.) Next report, officials say they are shutting down and will wait for
the morning to get the suspect out. (Wait, were you not just in the attic
wearing gas masks... for the heat???) Officials now saying the last sound they
heard from the suspect was 3 hours ago. (OK fine, let’s wait till tomorrow, but
we are certain someone is up there. We now have thermal and audio PROOF! I
can't wait to get up and read about them arresting this guy.)

Morning, still no indication anyone was in the attic and
ALL, A-L-L law enforcement is gone from the house. (Seriously?? 75 law
enforcement officials, thermal scans and now no one was there??) APD press
conference; Chief says "They may bring him out of that house yet."
(Really?? You might? Doubtful with NO ONE there!) APD Chief goes on to not
answer any other questions clearly.

Montgomery press conference; Mayor says; "There are
probably a lot of people who are second-guessing what happened last
night." (@!$%$%% right! Everyone.) "There was never any voice
response." (So someone lied. Big surprise) "We can't really go into
the technology that was used. We don't want to give the bad guys our game plan."
(Here in Montgomery we use busted a$$ **** to help us solve high profile
crimes.) MOD chief confirms that he doesn't know what's in the attic. (El
Chupacabra??? RougeDawg??? Cam Newton Bag Man??) Officials now believe the
suspect left the scene before officers arrived in the 15 minute gap it took
from the 9-1-1 call to their arrival. (Grandpa's Life Alert may have gotten
them there quicker.) It’s suspected the home’s renter is involved in some
fashion. This person is different than the woman who called 9-1-1.

So that's where we stand, APD and MPD are still following
leads, warning people of the penalties for providing false information to
authorities. The Chiz is currently holding a press conference on the matter. I
hope this clown is arrested quickly and without harm to anyone else. I’m
certain it would help ease the pain a bit for those families involved, but
seriously what the hell was going on last night in E. Montgomery???
