This whole thing has smelled since just after the Eggbowl and I truly believe there is truth in the stories.

However, Auburn would be TOTALLY IDIOTIC to buy players in this manner without somehow covering the money trail preventing any direct ties to the University. I'm betting that SOMEONE gets implicated but I'm thinking that somehow, no direct connection is made to Auburn. Not sure how this can happen but I feel like if they were going to buy players with this magnitude of cash, then tracks were covered. Just saying!

the money be mostly mostly deferred. The way the Newtons wanted it was that the winner of the bidding war would pay a percentage up front. with the rest of the cash to come upon completion of eligibility or moving on to the NFL. It is easier to hide the funds that way. Nobody will be looking after he's gone so do what you want with the cash.

why would anyone ever go on probation? The ONLY thing Auburn has even thought of for the past 3 years is how to catch back up to Alabama since Saban took over. When you're that desperate, you tend to make mistakes.

they are not. They are in the State of Alabama in which the University of Alabama Alumni run things. We all agree that University of Alabama runs the SEC as well. Auburn is their in state rival and don't kid your self, they are piss as hell that Auburn is 9 and 0 and number two in the BCS. With all that said they are screwed!

Especially since it was between them and lil' ol Mississippi State.

Too bad they didn't get the memo that LT was gone.
