Just announced on his Twitter! Looks like WVU is getting another quality OL with high upside, a legacy too! Hopefully he comes home, but I would think its highly likely he signs with WVU...

Dont be fooled by his rating, Very much an underrated player, who made significant improvements the past year, getting his body into shape. We certainly need a quality & versatile OL for Greene / Crowder / Nicco to produce at a high level!

This is great news.... We definitely need Brandon White(extremely fast & shifty WR) & Isaiah Hastings(DL) to top off this class. White's skillset is certainly something we are familiar watching, and would def diversify the skillsets at WR and allow us to be diverse schematically.

I doubt Wesley Bissainthe signs with WVU, but we still signed two great LB's in this class. Simply from a film perspective Mumu Bin-Wahad may be the most underrated player in this class. Though, Justin Williams's film this year has been absolutely mind blowing, has potential to be the best RB we have signed in a very long time. Tho he has Anderson & Johnson in front of him, so hopefully we are able to hold onto them all... I would think our RB room next year will an exciting group to cover in the Summer camps. Hopefully the majority of this 22 class is able to enroll early.. I will be curious if Corbin Page remains at TE, or if he transitions to OTorDL...

If rankings were always accurate in identifying a players potential & future productivity, then WVU would have been smoked by 40 points vs OU, and Pitt wouldnt have lost to a MAC team @ home... :)

I dig deeper on a player then simply looking at the rankings, or only reading WVU content, I actually watch film and read articles written from a players summer camp performances, from various sources(WVU & Non-WVU beat writers). Just like I did with Ryland Gandy, which you certainly agreed with my opinion in that case, I suppose your alignment was just coincidental he was committed to Pitt.

Avery was very much overweight early on(330lbs, now hes around 300lbs), he worked hard on changing his body, and was impressive this past year. With 4 OL already in this class, I seriously doubt this staff would take a 5th OL just for a player with average potential.

Watch Brandon White's film, if he wasnt 5'8 he would be a 5.7 or 8700-8900 rating. Watch Justin Williams film for his Senior yr so far, he plays in a competitive HS conference, while his team isnt playing well, he's making opponents look bush league, his highlights are very impressive, frankly if he enrolls early, he may seriously compete to earn a small role as a true freshmen, tho with Justin Johnson & J Anderson, he'll probably redshirt, which really speaks to the future in our RB room. Either way we are extremely lucky to have Justin in this class..

I havent watched much of Hastings this year, but I do know hes being heavily pursued by multiple P5 teams and has an impressive offer list(Bama, UGA, Oregon, Miami, etc), from what I read the staff was really pursuing him hard after he visited or a staff member saw him perform at a summer camp(Cant recall which).. Hastings is 6'4 290lbs, looking at current commits, we need a DL commit with that size in this class to fill it out, as we only have two DL commits thus far, one seems to be destined for Bandit and the other SDE/WDE, so a quality DT is needed.

Here is a coach's review of Mumu's film, so dont take my word for it, take an experienced college & hs coach's..



There are a plethora of reasons why players are under rated, I mean, look at the average HS star rating for NFL Superbowl players, that alone is proof ratings are not very accurate. Its just a generality, that in all likelihood is best used to only classify the difference between a few tiers of players. Ratings is based more on physical characteristics, while work ethics, dedication, & heart cant be quantified for classification but significantly impact outcome.

I dont think every player pursued is under rated, but there are more then a few that would appear to have a higher probability of outperforming rating's based expectations. Thats my opinion, whether or not if that will turn out to be justified or not, we shall see in time when NB's recruits have time to mature, develop, & gain live experience. That said, at least we know NB knows how to do more with less, an accurate indicator of a good coach.

While the 2021 class had the highest average player rating in WVU history, it was a relatively small class at just 17 HS commits & 4 transfers. So we need 19-22 in this class with probably another 3-4 quality transfers(after season ends).

Maybe you should read what he says. The "few p5 recruiting staff members" you know clearly suck at their job because they can't evaluate or recruit talent capable of beating a MAC school.

Feelings & Emotions are a vaccine for critical & logical thinking. I have no ego to test, and I dont engage this WVU fan forum for a justification of self worth or value, attributes & character instilled from humble beginnings that allowed me & my work to take the lunch from those with ivy league ink & parchment. Frankly, you dont have the stature, importance, or expertise to test or validate it.
