That's because everyone is stunned how Michigan State pulled off their victory over Michigan.
No doubt, that poor kid they showed in the crowd was about to cry hardcore. Also, did anyone see where a fan flipped the bird to the camera? Good stuff.

Hard for the Botards to hate when NU takes care of business AND their beloved Bozo gets steamrolled by South Dakota St.

0 out of 10. You can do better.
I know right!!! They had the stupid idea to spread the ball around to our playmakers. Stupid idiots only basically doubled what anyone else has done to them point-wise

Great game by the Riley boys. The haters are fuming by a team showing real progress
Happy for the team and seeing progress in most areas - but keep in mind who we beat. Not a world beater. Hope they can build on this momentum, but keep in mind their QB had a record day throwing against our secondary. Just happy for the first conference win.

Happy to have been wrong in picking the Gophers to win.

Great all- around performance, especially for Tommy, Moore and Newby. The OL finally looked good, and the Blackshirts tightened when they needed to most.

I have to admit that this is the first time since the early 4th quarter of the BYU game that I'm optimistic about the team, and I hope they can carry this momentum forward.

Nebraska is back

First a Whale Trophy, now a Broken Chair Trophy! We're on our way boys.

In all seriousness, great job by players and coaches today. No need for negativity or name-calling after a win (sounds like something Pelini would do Cool). Let's just enjoy the win and hope we continue to show progress in the weeks to come - still a long ways to go to become bowl eligible.

There is still plenty to be concerned about and let's not get too happy with beating a very average team. It was a good win on the road though. Nice to see the team play with good energy and maintain it throughout the entire game.

Gopher secondary is for real though. They have at least one high round draft pick back there

So, it's a great sign of coaching and leadership that the team is still fighting after most of it's preseason goals are gone.

Some things of concern:

- Langsdorf needs to learn to call the 4th Quarter as if he's winning;
- TA needs to take fewer deep shots;
- Our pass defense is the worst I think I've ever seen at DoNU

Great things:

- Minnesota's defense and secondary are legit, and they were torched today;
- Newby is seeing the cutback lanes much better;
- DeMornay Pierson-El is a gamechanger;

The best thing:

The haters are quiet tonight. I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Yes, let's keep in mind this a team that's punked Nebraska 2 of the last 3 years.

You can look at this game about anyway you want and it has nothing to do with Bo. :) Minnesota was not a great team, well coached good team but depleted in some areas such as OL and RB and we still couldn't get a good consistent rush on them. No mistaking it, it is a good win that will give this team some confidence. Tommy made some nice throws and forced it a couple times into double coverage and got away with one for a TD. I still don't get why we can do so well in short to medium range and then go away from it or the entire running game for that matter. Our pass D is still horrendous and this was not a great passer we faced today. Why is it we cannot cover a simple 12-15 yard flat pattern? Until we do, expect this team to always have games in the balance late into games. I do have some questions:

1. Where is our TE that was so much talked about? I don't see him on the 3rd and 4 plays or much over the middle, in the seams, or on the run/pass option roll out. Seems that when we need a play we go to the WR.

2. Where are Turner and Stanley Morgan? I know Morgan played but Turner seems to be MIA.

3. Do we pitch the ball anymore?

4. Where is the diamond formation? That would solve all of the problems! (sorry, couldn't resist that)

Good win, now they must keep the momentum going. There are no easy games for this team but playing a good clean game goes a long ways obviously.

Yeah, there are plenty of questions, but I think we are just trying to appreciate the win. MN is not a great team, but they are salty, well coached, and have outplayed and outcoached us the last two years, and we handled them pretty well at their place. Long way for us to go, but this was a positive after what seems like too much negative.

We beat a team that was 4-2 with their only losses to top 25 teams, on their home field. What's more, we pretty much outplayed them from the middle of the first quarter on. This isn't the Minnesota of a decade ago. This isn't Purdue. We beat a team that WILL be bowling and has quite a bit of offensive talent.
