The Chargers of Ayden-Grifton (8-2) are a commin on down to SouthWest Onslow (9-2) to kick things off for us in the 2A East Playoffs. Going back 20 years we have played 3 times, all playoff games. SWO leads 2-1 with the last meeting in 2012 in the second round as we went on to the 1AA Title that year.

AG averages 32 pts a game and giving up 12
SWO averages 37 pts a game and giving up 15

Pretty close in Off and Def stats this year. Should be a good game

Lookin at some film on AG. Look a lot like SWO. They seem to like to run and over left side also, just like us. They to can throw it up if they have to.

I thought the same thing about their size. I think we respond better to a physical team other than a finesse style of play. We like to trade punches. Who hits the hardest and longest will win. Coach Dempsey keeps saying, run the power, believe in the system and sooner or later it will start to tell. We didnt go away from it Friday night.

Considering he is a Kinston fan and the poll was taken up in that area no wonder. However if you read Chris Millers article in the JDnews a little different on AG chances this Friday. His take is SWO is to big and fast for the Chargers. We will see how it plays out ..... :cool:

I see them being a good game for you but I do not think they will beat you. I think you will see the same thing that we saw. The fizzle begins late in 3rd and 4th qtr. Again I think they will gas out.

It may not show good results in 1st or 2nd qtr. But we will relentlessly pound the line with a heard of Backs. Again, Again and over and over. What will start as 2-3 yards will turn into 4-6, and then 8+. If they take a nap a pass will wake them up. Question is who's Defense holds the strongest ??

You got me on this one, I have no clue who'll win. I'll just guess and say swo by 4.

Southwest wins by 14...even with J.foster going down last Friday SWO still have enough firepower to win.

If either falters the breakdown will come 2nd to late 2nd qtr. Best conditioned teams gets this one. I like our conditioning program. We start hard and get harder. An eye for an eye, you hit, we hit back harder.

Standing by for SWO to reschedule our game to Thursday. Goldsboro has with NE, and Whiteville with WRH. I would think they will have to do it no latter than in the morning some time. If we dont thats OK, we're Mudders.

game moved so is Northsides heard WA didn't want to move to Thursday and unlike playoffs both coaches must agree. I think its not just field but the ride and safety ., but with that said go Stallions.
