If Michigan is somehow under a 7 point favorite, then they will be my bet of the bowl season.

I think the B1G was 5-5 last year. I see the same outcome this year. But would luv to see your prediction come true.

I dont know how anybody can have full confidence in Nebraska winning. Especially if they dont know who will be playing QB. Our coaches havent shown a very good ability to game plan when its an up in the air decision on who plays. I want them to win but who knows what team shows up. Last season they went into the bowl game with tons of momentum, not so much this year.

Didn't we lose to Iowa whenTommy threw multiple picks and we finished the regular season 5-7?

IMHO the momentum was going into the offseason after winning the bowl game...

Riley is a good bowl game coach. There are few coaches whose teams actually get better with all the time off. Riley is generally one of those coaches.

I don't like the matchup though.

I agree with everyone of your choices except for Penn State will get killed by USC. Lose by 10+ points. It is in USC's backyard and now that they are starting Sam Darnold at QB they are a whole different team. They BEAT Washington and it wasn't even close. The score did not indicate how badly the Huskies got mauled. I also think Northwestern will beat Pittsburgh. I think there is one more omission on your list. Ohio State's loss to Alabama.

I was just talking to my wife before she goes to work. I am up early to run the snowblower on about 3-4 inches of snow before she goes to work. (I bet the neighbors loved hearing the Honda at 5:00am) If Tommy throws those same 10 passes for 20 plus yards like he did in the Iowa game the Huskers lose again. It's that simple.

Tommy has never played good against Iowa. Nebraska started their momentum after the MSU win. That is when the players (especially on defense) really bought in and gained some confidence. They were playing much better after the MSU game.

Ahhh ok, yep, I agree with that.

The MSU win was huge and they only lost one game after that up until Wisconsin this year. Good point.

NU/Vols really depends on one thing, TA's hamstring. It would also help if Ziggy got healthy. From the TN position break-down provided by a Vol fan, I think we can run on this team. We will need to run and control the clock.

Control the clock I agree with. Tennessee is going to load the box and play man to man on the Nebraska receivers. If the Nebraska QB, whoever it is, is unable to complete 57-60% of their throws, Nebraska will not be able to control the clock. Since Fyfe only started 1 game, I will say when Armstrong is able to throw accurately, the defense has to respect the pass, if not, you can run into that brick wall and take 3 minutes off the clock with each possession with 3 straight runs and a punt, but you won't win the game.

I would love to see Langsdorf force Armstrong to use the short route as the second progression. Most of the pass plays Nebraska uses has at least 1, many times 2 receivers running deep routes. Against a team loading the box (to mitigate their weakness) and man to man coverage, the flats and middle can be wide open. I expect Carter to have a huge day.

RB screen game could also be huge

I agree with this 100%. If TA isn't 100% I hope they go with Fyfe if he is 100%. If we have to throw the ball to win this game, I would rather have Fyfe in there. They game planned for Maryland pretty good with Fyfe. I don't know if this O-Line can run block for 4 quarters as it is. But when you look at the game last year against Purdue, they were a horrible run defense and they had Fyfe pass the ball 58 times.

This is where you see the good and bad of the BIG10 having so much weight in CFB.

We have the highest pecking order of probably any other conference when it comes to bowls but... that usually means we have teams playing much higher ranked opponents instead of it being even.

We ain't winning this game unless Tommy and our offensive line are completely healthy. Even then it's still a 50/50 game at best in Nashville. Hope by then we are healed up, in the right mindset and get the W!

Glad to see you guys playing Tennessee hope it a good game and a safe trip for everyone. I was pumped for a little while when Nebraska and LSU were being projected as a bowl match up but it didn't happen. Will be pulling for you guys.

Very surpirsed that Minnesota held WSU to no TDs until the final minute. Very impressive vs The Pirate's offense.

Not a bad showing for the B1G so far with close losses. Missed field goal by Indiana in the 4th quarter hurt. Good showing for a 6-6 team vs 8-4.

2 and 2 in games I thought would all be losses.
