8 threw 13 just tighten up with Illinois upset in Iowa City.

Iowa 6-8
Penn St 6-8
Nebraska 5-8
Indiana 5-9
tOSU 5-9
Illinois 5-9

Don't have to tell anyone how important a win tonight would be in Columbus.

With tie breakers involved a win would seed us 8th after tonight with 2 weeks left in the regular season....

GBR!

OSU -3 is what I see for an online sports book. If Roby was 100% I would like our chances since he has been making a difference recently. We are averaging losing by 20+ in Columbus.

This isn't one of their better basketball teams that they have had in the past when we went to Columbus.

Crying shame Roby more likely isn't going to play but I like our chances tonight.

As was pointed out in another thread, after today's win, Nebraska is now 6-4 in late possession games. Can't cherry pick the losses and not also consider some of the wins.

We were down by 13 to Maryland. We were down to Indiana. I understand it's tough to let go of games that we let slip through our fingers but we were also down 5 to Ohio State with 30 seconds.

This team may have been special if White stayed around or maybe his departure led to the development of certain players. We will never know. They likely would be better off had Morrow not been injured for 7 games. Those are the breaks. But I'll tell you, I love cheering for this team. They are gritty and play the game the right way

Yeah things do tend to even out, and the wild finishes in both OSU games definitely underscore that. Worst part about Morrow's injury is that it came at a time when the Huskers had a chance to build on some big wins. But again that's part of college basketball - it's hard to go the whole season without a key player missing some time.

Only a few days ago I suggested that finishing 4-1 in the remaining 5 games seemed highly unlikely, however getting that first win on the road has improved the outlook.

2 more road games are left needing to split those and take care of business at home.

Michigan State just lost their senior guard and leading 3 pt shooter in a loss to Purdue. This is an interesting Michigan state team as they simply aren't as talented as past teams and have dealt with injuries all season. They may be ripe for another loss.

I think beating Minnesota on the road is probably the toughest task but even that is not out of the question.

May be a very interesting end of season for the Huskers.

Minnesota just beat Michigan in OVT to put them selves in the sixth seed going into the last 2 weeks.

Our last 2 games against these two will be down to the wire Basketball games.

Definitely.
Seems like every time watch a Gopher game it always goes in to OVT...

They sure turned their program around since last year.
My blood pressure medication is getting a workout this year watching the Gophers. Great turnaround, only lose one senior and a very good class coming in next year. Pitino looks like he is headed in the right direction.

My predictions have the Huskers landing a 6 seed and a first round game against the winner of Rutgers and Penn State. Next game would be against Maryland.

I think it would be fun to knock unofficial host team Maryland out of the tournament this year.

all these teams pretty much stink. I've watched Wisconsin a bunch lately and in person once. They aren't very good and that's with getting a ton of calls. A Wisconsin fan I know said it was getting embarrassing how bad the officiating is at the Kohl center in their favor. The part I watched against MD was atrocious, leading to the T that Turdgeron picked up. Maryland is mediocre. Sparty is pretty much terrible. Purdue I think is pretty solid, but obv beatable. NW gets a lot out of what they have, but I'd rather have our roster at full strength. I could easily see a team like us or Indiana making a run and winning a bunch of games in a row if they get hot in the tourney.

I agree...this is the worst I have seen the Big Ten in a long time.

Northwestern is in meltdown mode. Breaking a multiple decade streak is never easy. I think Indiana has sufficiently ended their NCAA hopes as well.

While I think it's safe to say the B1G is down this year it has been an entertaining season.

Minnesota has become the hottest team in the conference winning their last 6 games in a row after losing 5 in a row prior, they could end up being a 3 seed winning 2 of their next 3 games. They end up with Wisconsin on the road.

Could see Indiana firing Crean after the conference tournament.

ThanksWinking, knew they haven't lost since we beat them didn't realize it was 6 in a row..

Minnesota been more noticeable since they've been moving up in the standings and I've have been watching them more since they are coming up on our schedule.
