<div>What are the chances we have back to back to back first round picks? </div><div>
</div><div>Before yesterday, I had a feeling Fletcher would slip to the 2nd Round. However, I really think he separated himself from the pack (mainly Brockers) yesterday. So, depending on how the draft plays out, I fully expect him to go in the 1st Round with him as the No. 1 or 2 DT taken off the board.</div><div>
</div><div>In looking ahead to next year, there is no question Banks will go in the 1st if he stays healthy and has another solid season. I have seen several places who have him listed as the top returning DB. The decision he made to come back for his Senior season was the best decision he has ever made and will pay off for him.</div><div>
</div><div>If it plays out, this will be the first time ever we have had back to back to back 1st Round picks. This is outstanding for our program in so many ways. OM undoubtbly has some great NFL talent in Manning, Wallace, Oher, etc... BUT Freeze didn't coach a single one of them. Mullen has coached every "big-name" MSU player in the pros in Dixon, Love, McPhee, Sherrod, etc... (with Tebow and Smith in the mix at other schools)</div><div>
</div><div>This is a great selling point for recruits, and we should be able to heavily use this in our advantage. </div>

Banks would have to have a heck of a year to turn a 3rd or 4th round junior projection into a first round pick as a senior. He's a great DB for us, very solid, but he doesn't stand out like a
Patrick Peterson or even a Honey Badger.

For next year there will be draft-eligible sophomores and juniors that are ahead of him right now.

to have a chance at making the first round. For a skinny corner lockdown man-coverage ability is a must to play in the NFL, and as good as he is for us I don't think he's quite at that level. His height and ball-hawking ability make him more appealing at safety as well.

Johnny Cooks and Glen Collins in the 1st round and in 82 we had Micheal Haddox in the 1st. Say what you will about Bob Tyler, but his recruiting was over the top
