We can win this game..their offense sucks and their QB lobs the ball.......DPE and a force fumble will be needed to win this game.

My concern is the second and early third quarters. We have to manage them well in order to win this game. Our coaching staff has done a pretty good job this season with managing these games, we'll need everyone on the same page @ Wiscy too.

Even though we have only played Wisconsin 10 times our last win in Madison was Oct 8th 1966 31-3.

Went on to play Alabama that year in the Sugar Bowl and Ken Stabler losing 7-34.

You know our QB can be turnover-prone as well? And when is the last time our special teams actually blocked for a punt return? Idk how anyone can definitely say our team will go in there and win. Wisconsin has had our number lately.

Wisconsin are not world beaters by any stretch of the imagination. Their D is stout but their offense is mediocre at best. I wasnt overly impressed with them watching them play Iowa. They seemed to be on pretty even footing. I'd say if we play like we are capable we can win.

That is the key word "capable" have we even seen 4 quarters of capable football from this team other than the 4th quarter?

Looking at this game is not all that complicated. If the Badgers are able to stuff the run game...and they do have a pretty good defense...then the game falls on TA's arm to move the ball and win the game. We all know that if you have to depend upon TA's arm to win games it becomes a real craps shoot. Hope against all hope the OLine heals in a week AND can provide the needed push to allow the Huskers to run the ball. In the absence of that things will be dicey at best.

Sorry love NU but Badgers at home at night. I'm taking the Badgers. Calling bookie, betting BIG!!
This is something I just don't get and never will. I don't gamble anyway, but if I did, I would never bet on any game involving my team. How does anybody put themselves in the position of betting against their team and wanting them to lose to collect on their bet? Just makes no sense to me.

Rushing stats for Wiscy's 2 qb's:

Hornibroook => 15 Att, -76 yds, -5.1 Avg
Houston =>11 Att, 15 yds, 1.4 Avg

Unless they've been saving something special for us, they don't run.

Just as you don't get why people are saying we can win this, I don't get why you feel compelled to contradict it every time.

Seems fair. Tough place to win and we haven't looked great the past few weeks. Vegas is smart but they're not perfect, if we play well we can win.

I wasn't talking about this thread, but the countless others that have posters saying 7-0!!!11! We'll win in at Wiscy for sure!! Man I hope so, but I'm also realistic. Have you seen anything from this team the past couple of weeks that shows we can go in there and win? I don't think it'll be a drubbing like when Bo was our coach, but I could see us losing by a couple of TDs, just based on what I've seen from our offensive line and special teams. Then again maybe we can put together a complete game for once this season and beat the crap out of them, which I'd love to see. It's just, I don't think I've seen that happen with Riley and company here, as other posters have pointed out. We always seem to play down to the level of competition.

It'll be a low scoring game and those can be anyone's ballgame. Iowa had a chance to win simply because they kept it close. What we have is big play ability. In close games one play can change everything. Can't have any more special teams blunders.

The spread will go down, not up. I think it will be a one score difference one way or the other and I do think that while Nebraska has yet to put forth a complete game, the fact that they've owned the fourth quarter does bode well for the mental part of the game. If Westy is back I think Nebraska wins. But it will be an ugly one.

Countless? Whatever. I don't know a single person that thinks we're guarenteed to win. Everyone I know is concerned as the Badgers are legit.

You say they play down to competition, but then use the close wins to be negative. Those are opposing forces.

Let's put it this way. Nebraska hasn't looked clean for an entire game all year. Could that change this weekend? Unlikely. After seven games, you are what you are. So I don't expect to see some really efficient offense out of the blue. But the good news is that Nebraska shouldn't need an elite performance to beat Wisconsin. They simply need to generate a few sustained drives, be fine punting (limit turnovers), capitalize when you have the chance and play sound defense (which has been pretty damn good this year.)

I will wait for the official "prediction" thread to make my score prediction, but I believe this is a 50-50 game, and GOD we owe Wisconsin a beating. The other good news is that the Wisconsin FG kicker is not very reliable, in a game where I think every point is going to matter, that could help us.

Which probably means one of them will go around the end for about 55 and a TD when one of our DE's loses contain.

This is the game where the QB has to not give the ball away, IMO (hint Mr. Armstrong). road game vs a great defense.
