Bama looking very average against the Louisiana Black Bears tonight.

It might be the whiskey talking, but I think if a terrible Ole Miss team can keep it this close against Bama, we might just have a chance to pull off the upset in a couple weeks. We should be 7-2 and coming off a bye week going into Tuscaloosa, while the Tide will be recovering from a tough road game in Baton Rouge.

They certainly are not world beaters but they have got some players.I am baffled as to how Vandy scored 28 on them.

On a related note,Greg McElroy is damn lucky he has got two Heisman caliber running backs behind him because I am not sure he can complete a pass over 5 yards. Yet he will still run off the field doing his gay golf clap and smiling after another 3 and out.

They're good enough to beat somebody they shouldn't and bad enough to lose to someone they should easily beat.....Very, very inconsistent is the best way to describe them I reckon......In any event, we'll have hell beating them over at their place........</p>

R-Kansas, Florida, SC, and now the Black Bears...they are going thru the motions and just trying to get a win...they will be sluggish thru the Tenn game next week too

melting down. This team could be 1-5 right now. They will not be easy for us to beat.

You just never know in rivalry games what might happen. That's why I do not want to go into Oxford with five wins- I don't want that kind of pressure on our team. If we take care of business against UAB, and UK for that matter, that won't happen. That's why tonights win was so big for us, and why it was important for us to beat Georgia and Houston on the road.

What worries me about the Egg Bowl is we are very one dimensional, we can not throw the ball, we are still below average on special teams except for Heath Hutchins, and we have had problems with mobile QB's this year on defense.

But at the same time, Nix has a lot of trouble vs option teams, I think that we are tougher mentally and physically and are more physical than Ole Miss, and we have a good DC who can adjust and can confuse QB's- I noticed that Masoli was confused at times tonight and he is turnover prone. We also have played well and won on the road at some pretty tough places.
