The NCAA doesn’t use a separate terminology for it, but that’s really what the NBA calls a clear path foul. I think the refs technically got that one right because Sears was clearly just trying to prevent the layup, but it’s a pretty easy call to get frustrated with since that kind of play happens a lot and enforcement of the rule seems really selective.
