Bama's offense will continue to be strong next year

assuming they can replace a couple of lineman. Conversely, they lose almost their entire starting defense. It'll be interesting to see what they look like next year.

I'm wondering with their defense graduating, though, will they become a shootout team like arkansas, or will they continue to dominate in the fashion they did this year.</p>

but I think with Saban, they will always have a pretty strong defense, and I don't think that they will change how they do things on offense very much either.

Run it with Ingram and Richardson, and throw it to Julio, and McElroy typically won't make very many mistakes to get them beat.

Cowherd made a good statement- what big win has Bammer had under Saban so far? Beat Georgia last year and LSU at home this year- thats it for big wins- lost to Florida, lost to Utah

Next year they get Penn State, Florida, go to Tenn, LSU and UPig...and LSU gets the week off to get ready just like Bammer has had the last 2 years

I'm taking a look at the top teams in the west and trying to predict where we could end up next year assuming Cam signs. Granted I'm not saying it's Atlanta next year, just looking at those we'll have to beat. Bama will still be the team to beat if Mallet leaves though.

Mclains replacement, hightower, will be a slight dropoff. They can't replace Cody, but they've got three they can rotate. Please tell me y'all didn't expect anything different than this from saban.

Bammer goes to BR- and LSU gets the week off to get ready just like Saban has had the last 2 years. Saban vs Miles has been close all 3 years- and both of Saban's wins have com when he had the week off to prepare and LSU didnt. That wont be the case in 2010

Bammer also has Fla coming to town, going to Tenn, going to SC...going to UPig...going to LSU....life gets tougher for Saban in 2010

on that until I see what LSU loses as far as juniors. They lose the great Charles Scott, Keiland Williams, Lafell, Dickson, a couple of o-linemen, two of their starting d-linemen, and two of their linebackers, and Trendon Holliday. That's a lot right there. And then who knows if Chad Jones and Terrance Tolliver will be back.

I'm not saying that they can't or won't replace those guys, but that's a lot of playmakers right there.

And the Crimson Tide doesn't lose in Baton Rouge, so it's all moot anyway.

But they're almost destined to be weaker by default. They cannot go much higher from here. So my question will be (and I'll get the answer next year)- Can they stay atop the SEC West in the same way they've been able to this year.

Even the year that they won the national title they had two losses. I just can't buy them going through a season with less than 2 losses, and I just can't buy Bama losing more than 1 game.

Florida loses a lot too, I'm not sold on UTenn yet, LSU still has Miles, and UPig still hasn't figured out how to play defense.

Coach's internet cred is wrapped up in Miles being a better coach than Saban. If LSU goes 8-4 again, and Bama goes 11-1, even he won't be able to seriously defend Hatboy.

Bama, unfortunately, appears to have regained their perch as the top program in the league.

Fla has more players just like Bammer does, UT should have won in Tuscaloosa and will be better, Miles is about to win 10 for the 4th time in 5 years, and UPig definitely has to get better on D- but offensively they will be hell.

I think you guys underestimate the offweek Saban has had the last 2 years to get ready for Miles. That has been huge- and he has still barely beat them the last 2 years...now Miles gets the week off too to get ready for Bammer...

can watch the progression of LSU and Alabama over the last 2-3 years and think anything other than Alabama is on the rise and LSU is on a slow decline. You're: lying and posting **** just to piss people off, actually an LSU Genespager, have zero sports knowledge, or a combination of the 3.

LSU was better in 2009 than 2008...and they will be better in 2010 than they were in 2009

It's simply amazing how dumb you are. You might be the only person in the entire world that thinks Miles is anywhere near the same galaxy as Saban. Saban just went undefeated for the second straight year, so there should be some big wins in there somewhere, as if that matters.
Miles also relies on great assistant coaches, and a huge reason for his success his first two years (Saban's players notwithstanding) was b/c he had Fisher and Pelini, who were probably top 3 coordinators in the nation.
Saban loses coaches every year, but it doesn't matter. He creates and molds guys like Muschamp and Smart, who then are hot commodities on the coaching trail themselves.
And you really think Bama loses to LSU and loses 3 games next year? With all those starters on offense coming back? Quit coming up w/ lame excuses like having an off week. Even if Bama were to get upset in the LSU game they'll lose fewer games than LSU b/c Bama has proven to be much more consistent than LSU against the rest of the league schedule. The comparison of what Bama did vs what LSU did vs UF, Arky, MSU, and OM makes you realize how much better of a program Bama is now

I'll be here for Bama's 3rd straight West championship and win over LSU.
Fact is, the LAST TWO years are the ones that Miles should've been measured on, not just next year. He had a chance to recuit and develop HIS own players for 3 years while he was starting ALL Saban players, not to mention after he had to replace Fisher and Pelini. And after recruiting for 3-4 years, once he finally started his players, he goes 3-5 in the SEC and an EXTREMELY lucky 4-4 (excuse me, 5-3)
Seriously, they guy called a timeout after an interception and had biggest instance of clock mismanagement in recent college football memory and you think he's not an idiot?
