Saban: “The MRI indicated that both Dee and DeAndrew sustained knee injuries that will require surgery and they will be out for the year.

Wow. The loss of Hart is not that big. But White going down is not good news for their unremarkable receiving corps. The true freshman (Cooper) is going to be very special, but it's asking an awful lot for a true freshman to carry their deep threat. Also, they are feeling the loss of Jalston Fowler a lot more than their walkon alums are willing to admit. The Mississippi Bears loaded 8-9 in the box and I don't care who you are, you ain't running consistently against that.

Our DB's need to knock the **** out of Cooper across the middle early and often. He hasn't been properly introduced to a hard hitting SEC DB.

SEC West 2012 is not SEC West 2011

I think everyone is beatable on our schedule. Will be tough, and we may get beat by someone we should beat, but Bama and LSU are not the same as last year.

(and no, Rebels7, I'm not just saying that to take away from Ole Miss's performance)

to get introduced to Mr. Whitley early. He'll be re-thinking it the rest of the day.

us in that auburn and ark don't seem to be what was expected...esp ark. we'll have a chance in those games. last year not so much. i'm not sure yet about bama. we played them very hard and that is such a nice change from last year that its a positive, but while i don't think bama mailed it in, i don't think they played with the enthusiasm they had for say michigan and will for some others.

Ironically, most teams that enter the Bama game as big

to get introduced to Mr. Whitley early. He'll be re-thinking it the rest of the day.

underdogs, hope not to win, but to come out w/o any major injuries. Whoda thunk that the Bears would have inflicted major injuries on the Tide?

I'd give up White for Fowler, myself... esp with the emergence of Cooper... we've plenty of guys that can run fast and catch... I want bruisers at HB.

Bama slept through that game...

That being said, UM played aggressive, inspired and was not intimidated (sp)... if I were a UM fan, I'd hunt down Houston Nutt, skin him alive, stuff his bloated corpse in a 55 gallon drum and dump him in the Tallahatchie... man did he screw up two programs fast...
