Some if not all has to do with depth in the first place, we have zero depth so can't being losing players on the line. I expect this depth to improve on the lines if not we will suck for many more years.

I actually doubt their practices are that much more physical than Nebraska's. I know their OL and DL coaches are much better though, and know how to get physical play out of their players.

And exactly how in the hell do you hammer each other in practice when you don't have 5 healthy first string linemen? Or at least average defensive ends? People can ***** and moan all they want about coaching but nothing is going to change until we get MORE AND BETTER TALENT. And BTW Iowa struggled early in the year largely because they HAD SO MANY INJURIES IN PRACTICE.

Not impressed with Cav. Unimpressive performance or effort by his players. What does it take to lose a starting position other than injury?

You aren`t going to get tough when you practice like it is flag football. Yes we need much more depth.

Maybe all of them. Maybe none of them.
All I can say is that none of our players are coached by Iowa coaches or participate in Iowa practices.

For all we know some of our guys would start for Alabama if they received the same tutelage, S&C, high level of competition during practice, offensive/defensive schemes, etc. as Bama players. Until that happens though, there is no way to know.

When you come back down from planet delusional we can tell, until then I hope you aren't overpaying for your wifi on that planet because you aren't putting it to good use.

Alabama's defensive line has been straight up nasty. If you can't tell the difference in the size and filthy speed that Saban deploys on his front then you should not be allowed a drivers license and are a danger to your and all your passengers on account of your obvious blindness. That is like saying you don't know the difference between Rudy and say AJ Green. We simply don't have difference makers along the line on defense

That is the problem with the assumption that some guy on your team wont be good on another team just because he doesn't produce for yours. It's the same as assuming that a player wont make it in the NFL because he was some scrub in college. You can never say for sure that someone wont cut it anywhere else or even that they'll do as well somewhere else. Aaron Green looked pretty damn good playing for TCU but up here he didn't look all that special. I wont go so far as to say our guys could be starting for Alabama but I do think Iowa could get some results..

Seriously wth are you watching, Bama these guys couldn't walk on there, not one of our current lineman could have played for TO, maybe Gates in another year or two.

You need to get beat out and right now the only guys that had enough talent to do that are freshman and probably not physically ready to play a whole game of B1G football. Like it or not, Riley was left a black hole in the trenches on both sides of the ball.

Ummmmm I don't know what D line you've been watching all year, but I've said all year that our D ends are not good. Stoltenberg has played hurt but he's not very athletic. Maurice is pretty good but he draws double teams. Hell half the time I don't know if they even have to block Freedom. Very poor performance and I don't think it's the coaching. We just don't have the athleticism to make a play.

Hey... facts are facts... but you can't give a coach a pass above others because he played here. 2 years in a row we have started Rudy at D-end instead of using him in throw away time at the end of the year.

It has nothing to do with being a badass. Parella had TALENT and athleticism evidenced by his lengthy NFL career. We don't have that athleticism on our D line other than Maurice. Period. End of discussion.
