Comment section is quality comedy. I really like that so many can't see the sarcasm and respond seriously. They need some of these **

Two questions. Why would anyone fire their basketball coach in May? And how does a 30-28 record at Brown get someone a job in one of the premier conferences in the country?

Yeah, the second question was kind of rhetorical. Still don't understand why they fired him now though.

The pac-12 might be a premier conference, but that place is a basketball wasteland. They haven't been to the NCAAT since 1990.

Such a dumb decision. They should have fired him 6 weeks ago. Now, its already in the middle of the spring signing period and they don't even have a coach lined up.

Since the AD last gave his sign of confidence to Robinson, a player has decided to stay in Europe, another is transferring, and he is losing(was expected) their best player. I think one more starter is leaving too.
So maybe after seeing how ****** they will be next season, the AD said 17 it and decided the buyout is worth the money in the end.

But its Oregon State- they are terrible. He got some actual talent to come to a place that is terrible. Just couldn't make anything happen with the talent.

Hard to believe, but back in the day, they had a pretty decent basketball program. 0-18 in the PAC-10 the year before he got there. These last 2 years for us have been brutal, but nowhere near that bad.
