For much of my freshman year, I was turned off to the fact of coming to the baseball field to ONLY have the option to sit in the bleachers for half of the game. I'd always come an hour late and wait until the 5th inning to sit in the grandstands (which were ALWAYS empty.. except for the Super Regional where I bought grandstand tickets, anyway).
It also took me 3 or 4 years to even find someone I knew who sits in LFL. I knew several students who have wanted to experience the lounge, but never could simply because we didn't know anyone out there and didn't want to just bust up in someone's tailgate. I finally found some people I knew out there and try to sit out there as often as I can, but many weekends, the group I sit with doesn't come (Sundays particularly), so the bleachers or the right field corner is the only option.
I'm sure there are many students like myself who love baseball, but feel banished having to sit out in the bleachers for half the game while the grandstands remains mostly empty. That's the difference between the Hump and Dudy Noble is that most students don't have the opportunity to sit in chairbacks for baseball games, where in the Hump, there really aren't many "coveted" seats.
I'm a graduate student and I would join in a heartbeat just to have the opportunity to sit in the chairback seats for the entirety of the game. I love baseball and just that incentive alone is more than enough to get me to join.
