Norris is back in time for the AU series.

That puts Norris and Brownlee out through LSU, Auburn, Arkansas and maybe Vandy and SC.<div>
</div><div>Tough break but at least they will be back for the final stretch and into the postseason. It could have been worse.</div>

the biggest thing is to have everybody back and at 100% for regional time. Of course, we do need to do well enough during the season to MAKE a regional but I think we will. Would be nice to compete for a league title BUT Florida is about as strong in baseball this year as Kentucky currently is in basketball so that's probably a moot point even if we were at 100% the whole year.

How were any of you seriously counting on him staying healthy? The guy is made of glass. That's one reason I was a bit surprised Cohen named him the only guy other than CT who had solidified a starting spot so early. To me, he needed to play the Jaron Shepherd role: Start once or twice a weekend, otherwise be a late inning defensive sub. I love how he plays, but I didn't see him staying healthy trying to play all 9 every day. The good news is that as long as CT is back as scheduled, I don't see Brownlee as a major loss. Renfroe, Stark, and Woodruff will easily pick up his slack. I dare say whenever Brownlee does come back, he won't have a starting job due to the way 2 of those 3 will be playing.

Losing Norris for so long, on the other hand, is really going to hurt. I'm not sold on Brayden Jones at 3B yet. Still, I think we can make it without him for a while, barring another injury or a delay in CT's return.

If nothing's broken, I have a hard time seeing the coaches keep him out of the LSU series.<div>
</div><div>Norris hurts, so we'll just have to make due with Jones. Hopefully he can respectfully hold down the fort at third. (Also, how's Nick Flair's injury coming along?)</div><div>
</div><div>I never really count on Brownlee to make it through the season anyway.</div><div>
</div><div>This weekend is going to be tough. Just from listening to Jim read out their statistics last night, Mercer sounds like a really good mid-major. We need some guys to step up this weekend (particularly Renfroe and Henderson).</div>

He's not as good as Daryl Norris, but he plays hard. To me, he was the biggest reason why Madison Central won the 6A championship a few years ago. If he can hit, say .250- it will help soften the blow a little bit. Demarcus Henderson might play some at third base as well.

I like Brent Brownlee, but I think our best outfield is Woodruff in RF, Bradford in CF, and Renfroe in LF. I think Woodruff just needs at bats more than anything.

I don't understand why you don't give any love to Taylor Stark. The coaches love him, and he's hitting well. I think he's better than Renfroe right now. Renfroe is definitely the "potential" guy, but when it comes to actual production, Stark is well ahead of Renfroe right now. Hell, Cohen has said several times the hardest decision he has is whether to play Renfroe or Stark, but you don't even have Stark cracking our lineup. Most of the time you & I agree, but this is one of those times where I think you're flat wrong on a guy. I'd start Stark right now.

We definitely agree on Woodruff, though. It's not every day that we get a 5th Round Draft pick into school. The guy needs to be playing period. He's gone in 3 years regardless, so we better get as much out of him as we can. I also want to see more of Henderson on the infield. Britton may be good in time, but so far my theory that a lightly recruited true frosh is rarely ready to play in the SEC offensively is looking pretty good. His D has been adequate, but he's a liability at the plate so far. I'm not ready to proclaim him the next Sam Frost, but he really has no business starting right now.

I wouldn't say 80 points less than renfroe is "well ahead"
