..will hold it together under Bobby V. Im feeling 2nd or 3rd in the AL east this year. Its gonna be weird not seeing Francona in the dugout. Go Sox
Didn't make many changes, but I don't think we needed to. Addition by subtraction with Lowe being let go the day after the season ended. I think SS might be an issue, but Pastornicky has potential, and I think he will hit for a better average than Gonzalez did last year.
Our rotation of Hanson, Jurrjens, Beachy, Minor, and Huddy when he comes back is solid, with Medlen in the bullpen and Randall Delgado as a spot starter. I think Heyward will have a good year and Bourn and Prado are a solid 1-2 combo at the top of the lineup. Just hoping we can leave September of last year behind us.

Two scoring chances wasted today by piss-poor management. Diaz against a RHP in 6th, with Hinske on the bench, and the Mets without another RHP save their closer? only Frediot would pass that pinch hit up. God forbid wepinch hit Hinske, then Ross against a LHP, forcingeither a favorable matchup or the wasting of their closer! and then he double switches Diaz out in the bottom half! i won't even get into Constanza being the key batter in the 7th.
This team is set up to keep games close and win based on bench and bullpen, but their manager doesn't know how totake advantage ofthat. He won't use Hinske or Ross appropiately, and the only other one on the bench is Constanza who isn't worth ****. it's going to be a long, disappointing year. the pitching and starters will be better, but i don't think it's enough in this tough division to overcome an idiot manager, especially since the starting pitchers will be logging less innings without Hudson and Lowe. Wren has set them up for success with Medlen and C Mart poised to cover some of the load for O'Ventbrel, and i hope it's enough. maybe Constanza goes down when Chipper is ready and this all plays out fine.
