The amount of thinking that went into this is evident. It is amazing and very original looking, while still keeping parts of what made Dudy Noble great.

I can't wait to see this. #thisisourswagstadium

If they have a "lifeguard" at the playground, I'm moving back to Starkville.

It's nice and all, but I don't know, I guess I just expected Cohen to recruit bigger players with the new stadium. They look so tiny.

But seriously, that stadium is impressive in every way. Congrats & such.

Buy / Sell: After you have now seen it, left field lounge will add more to its character because of the update.

For me:

Buy in bulk. Having the two tiers, along with power, storage and grilling incorporated directly with the seating is outrageously cool. Most of the same people will be out there. Throw in the Lofts above the lounge and it will forever be changed for the better.

"The outfield suites will feature two bedrooms, a bath, kitchen and living space and will be available for use year-round."

I don't know anything about suites in other places, but that sounds incredible. You (if you are rich) can basically have a second home in our baseball stadium. Is that something offered elsewhere?

I was told 40k-50k per year but that is second hand info.

That's awesome. I can't believe there's going to be apartments in the plan.

Push. I don't know about adding to its character until we get there and use it but one thing is for sure. The Left Field Loft should block that cold-*** wind that screams across the track field in late Feb. to early March. I've been colder in that outfield than when I've been when breaking ice to go duck hunting.

It would be kinda bitter sweet for me. The thing is amazing for sure but I would loose my lounge spot that's been in my family for 30 years to a grassy knoll. Oh well. Turn the page.

In a related note, 2 years ago at a LFL meeting, Scott Strickland was asked if there were any plans to eliminate the Lounge. He responded with something to the effect of as long as he's AD the lounge would be part of DNF. So then I asked "Does that include our own trucks and trailers?" With his response being "Yes". Que the fire stricklands posts.

All in all I can't wait to tell my son stories of how it used to be while watching the Dawgs from that grassy knoll.

i laughed because its so true....they are shitting themselves right now. they will downplay it as much as possible, but they are already formulating a plan to get beer misters equipped on their right field cinder block pile as we speak.

golden showers for everyone.
I think cinderblocks are better than jury rigged outfield contraptions. I'm surprised this didn't happen before now because ever since the Swayze renovation we've had the nicest baseball stadium. In all seriousness though, congratulations. That stadium will be the nicest in the country and an added bonus is you're right..we will respond with renovations of our own.

Just had a diehard LSU fan text me that he thought we'd have the best stadium in the nation and second place wouldn't even be close.

Buy. I've always said LFL is about "who", not "what" and "where". If the same crew is out there, then it will be fine. Those guys will make sure of it. A lot of the people that run those rigs revolve their life around it. I'm not one of those guys, but I hope they can easily stick around. I don't want LFL to get ruined because of a money grab.

This is top notch. just have 2 questions

and I'm sure they'll be covered at some point but I'll throw them out there.

Will we be able to play there while its being renovated?

are the left field lofts only availible for the people that have the LFL spots? like are the 2 connected, you've had a spot for 25 years now you have a loft to go with it?

Are you kidding? Have you seen how many windows are in those Left Field Lofts. Now we finally know why Cohen has been recruiting great pitching and 5'9" 150 lb position players who can barely get the ball out of the infield. **

to turn the field so we could have a main entrance facing the parking lot. This still accomplishes that without messing with the wind/sun from turning the field.

I really liked the upper deck college and minor league stadiums I've seen and never thought we could have that.

It is going to be amazing. Just amazing.

it is common knowledge that tetanus puts hair on your balls. that said, our "contraptions" are now being turned into permanent structures and i would assume that some standardization would be required, as they have to link up to a common concourse.

i dont know if yall saw, but it looked like there were these nooks that looked to be first-come-first-serve GA seating in the LFL. for those pining about access (me), this looks to solve that problem. hookers and blow for everyone!

According to the FAQ your answer to 1).. enough of the structure should be built, from the end of one season to the beginning of the next, to function, while some construction will remain throughout the remainder of that season.

2)... The way I read it, Lofts will be skyboxes, and first come first serve, to those who've contributed, and can pony up the lease $$$

i dont give a **** about the money. if they dont spend it here, they will spend it on lee hall's 17th renovation in as many years.

who cares? think of it as monopoly money. its not a waste if people want to contribute. might be the best money we ever spent. USCe built a brand new stadium and won two national titles as a result. it will pay off in spades.

Deepthroat says the announcement is timed up with Lingdren getting pulled into the Majors. He is going to make the initial donation of 10MM and have the new lofts named Lingo's Lofts

I wonder that since the LFL trailers

Are now owned by the school, if they will give a set number of tickets to each trailer leasee for each game to keep the people on the thing within the design standards or fire code. I may not be able to just walk up and visit with the people I know out there unless I call them ahead.

Not a gripe at all. The whole damn thing is awesome.

The only thing that could make that video more awesome is the ghosts of baseball legends past walking out of lfl grill smoke to play ball.

There looks to still be general admission on the grassy hills. It doesn't look to be separated to me, especially in right field.

If your spot is actually under contract, you should be able to re-sign. At least that's the way the FAQ reads. The actual leases are dirt cheap considering.

The only negative I could see from a LFL seat holder is that the lounge will be much more accessible now. It has the same walkway by the fence and a second walkway. Then add in that you can walk all the way around the stadium now. Many more people will head out there to experience it and linger around.

So.. LFL'ers, do you see that as a positive or negative from your perspective?
