Looked to me like he was out by a mile. What's the rule, less than 2 outs hold the runner at third. That was dumb on our 3rd base coach and his fault. That's the third runner I think he has gotten thrown out. I understand you want to be agressive but the way we have hit I say look for the sac fly.

We got 3 hits 1 hbp and a walk and could only manage 1 run. If we held the runner it would be 2-1 maybe with bases loaded and 2 outs (if the double play couldn't have been turned).

the catcher was feeling around for the ball while ogden slid in.

But you really could tell for sure one way or the other from the M2M angle.

but the weather making the ground really wet probably slowed Ogden down some.

Wet weather does not mesh well with a small ball team- gummy dirt and wet grass are not a good combo for us.

...wet weather definitely slows the track a bit, but if you're "small ball" in that you bunt a lot and have a lot of slap hitters who can leg out infield hits, the wet field can actually be an advantage.

If they could somehow keep the dirt dry and the grass wet, I would agree with you. Plus, running on wet grass can be pretty slick when you're trying to go full speed and you're having to try to start and stop.
