Some people like pain.Folks saying about 100 fans at the game
We’ve literally lost to everybody.11-8 final.
this may legit be the worst we’ve ever been
We are not circling the drain. We’re down the drain and it’s dry. We’ve literally lost to everybody.
Could be part of the reason he didn't fire Paris. As embarrassing as basketball is, our fans have much higher expectations for baseball. Firing Paris would have made Mainieri unfirable.WTF is Donati waiting for? Fire this a$$hole.
It’s 100% the reason he did it fire Paris. So do it. Fire his a$$ tonight. Don’t need to wait second longer. I don’t care if it saves us $1M. Make a statement that we won’t put up with it. We already have too long. It’s amazing he’s still coaching. What a debacle.Could be part of the reason he didn't fire Paris. It doesn't get worse than losing at home to Charlotte in front of a hundred fans. It’s 100% the reason he did it fire Paris. So do it. Fire his a$$ tonight. Don’t need to wait second longer. I'll have some serious questions about Donati if Mainieri is still manager this weekend. It doesn't get worse than losing at home to Charlotte in front of a hundred fans.
Whatever rock bottom is, we jackhammered our way through that and are a few feet lower.
He will keep him another year to save money....see Paris.WTF is Donati waiting for? Fire this a$$hole.
No chance. He kept Paris because he has to fire Maineri. My issue is why hasn’t he already done it. Time to pull the trigger. He will keep him another year to save money....see Paris.
No. But the guy responsible for it needs to be fired tonight. And we need to start working on who the next man will be.Could anyone improve this team?
Is it more Jimmies and Joes than Xs and Os?
Plenty of seats available
The lone non Tanner hire left**** this program. I’m giving all my energy towards Dawn Staley…she’s deserving!
Not an a$$, and I predict Mainieri will be gone after the season (barring a miraculous turnaround).WTF is Donati waiting for? Fire this a$$hole.
Don't we all.Fifth inning - Seven runs scored after getting two outs.
Four of them via another GS (how many have they given up this year?).
After the Citadel game, my prediction for their conference record was 10-20.
I may have been wildly optimistic.
Hate to see this once great program reduced to this.![]()
Who knows, maybe Donati has already quietly reached out to him via a third party about taking over next season.Go and get Powell. He has too much loyalty and pride in this program to allow something like this to continue.
He would be a welcome change to prior hires who were always an arms length or two from the program and no heart in it.
Why is Donati receiving so much credit and respect? What has he done besides keeping a failed BB coach?Who knows, maybe Donati has already quietly reached out to him via a third party about taking over next season.
I mentioned nothing about respect. Merely suggesting what may be going on behind the scenes. Why is Donati receiving so much credit and respect? What has he done besides keeping a failed BB coach?
I hope that is the caseWho knows, maybe Donati has already quietly reached out to him via a third party about taking over next season.
We now pay players. What a waste of our investment to let Maineri continue to coach. Completely giving up on the players to allow it to continue. It’s obvious he’s not turning it around. Let someone else have a go. Fire his a$$ yesterday. Not an a$$, and I predict Mainieri will be gone after the season (barring a miraculous turnaround).
Firing mid-season has to be an egregious personal character offense, e.g, theft, etc. Poor playing IMO does not rise to that level.
NGC is 20-6, 11-5 in conference as of 3/17/26Go and get Powell. He has too much loyalty and pride in this program to allow something like this to continue.

With that sparse attendance, then the clock is now ticking for Coach PM.Folks saying about 100 fans at the game
I agree, while I wasn't happy with the retaining of such an ineffective basketball coach, the $12 million was just too big of a pill to swallow. But I really believe retaining Paris for a program that has been so bad for such a long will allow Donati to make a change for a program that was exceptional and used to have higher expectations.Could be part of the reason he didn't fire Paris. As embarrassing as basketball is, our fans have much higher expectations for baseball. Firing Paris would have made Mainieri unfirable.
As you accurately pointed out, the upcoming schedule is just brutal, I will not be surprised to see PM step down next week, if this weekend series goes really badly as expected.I'll have some serious questions about Donati if Mainieri is still manager this weekend.
I could maybe see giving him a second SEC series as a do-or-die situation. Anything beyond that is inexcusable.
