why there is no good way to "fix" the extended bleachers down the foul lines with the grandstand configuration that we have. You refuse to understand this. Let me ask you this... when was the last time you sat and watched from the metal bleachers along our lines for an entire baseball game? Been awhile hasn't it? People's complaints about the bleachers have very little to do with the fact that they are metal. It's more about the angle they sit at. This forces people to look 75 degrees to the left or right to see the batter. They face directly at the center fielder, not at the plate. Why don't you try that for a few hours and see how your neck feels after it's over? With our current grandstand setup, it would be VERY difficult to extend down the lines without having this EXACT SAME PROBLEM with the box seats. So, why would we spend the $5-10 million bucks to add seats that does very little to alleviate our comfort concerns? You end up right back where you started... with seats NO ONE wants to sit in.

Let me put it in a picture for you. The orange lines are my additions to try to make this work.

Contrasted with how it needs to be when we spend money on it.

We do not have the room between the foul lines in the existing structure to make this happen.

I'm certainly no expert but how would this work? <font color="#990000">Engie</font> posted a really nice drawing of a way to extend the grandstands so that people down the 1st and 3rd base lines could see home plate better and he explained why we are limited to how much can be done with the current layout.<div>
</div><div>What if the entire playing field was shifted about 15 or 20 feet in the direction that goes from home plate toward the center field fence (north-east)? It seems to me that this might solve some of the sight line problems. It would hurt me personally, however, since my seats are in Section F and it would put the action further away from me. Also the left and right field lounges and the score board would need to be moved as well. </div><div>
</div><div>I don't know if this would work or not but it seems to me that it would certainly be cheaper than completely tearing down the grandstands and starting over, even after you include rebuilding the outfield lounge areas, score board, etc.</div><div>
</div><div>

00dawg! Way too easy to just want to blow the joint up. I'll bet few, very few are on the waiting list. Again, pay your way inlike the rest of us did, then complain!
Also, good points about the angle of bleacher seating. This could be done by pushing home plate further out, backing the fences up accordingly and then installing the bleachers at a better angle.

We didn't fix the old Dudy Noble. We replaced it. There are a lot of serious problems with our baseball stadium. Misagaligned grandstand, 12 ft. walls on the concourse, obstructed views from several hundred seats, piece of **** skyboxes, etc. We could rebuild on the same site or a new one and have a much better stadium than if we just tried to put a band-aid on the one we have now. Or we could puta couple million into the current stadium and be bitching about it a decade from now.
