Miss will not go quietly on these four. We will have to stay on top of this situation and work our *** off to secure these guys and if we don't then we will not get them. I've said before I think last year was a big learning experience for Mullen when it comes to recuriting in Mississippi. Hopefully he has adjusted his approach appropriately**.

My point is and always has been, we all cheat. It's just a matter of who gives out the best deal or works best behind the scenes from player to player.

Not every player is for sale, but a large number of them are, and over recent history, the head to head Ole Miss-MSU battle is fairly even for Mississippi kids. Do the math.

And you would be naive. I do think you had to play it cool in the 2011 class largely because you had boosters speak up about Cam Newton. You can't snitch and then cheat yourself with the NCAA snooping around.

In 2010's class, you were pretty much even with us in-state on prospects, and in 2009, you dominated on in-state prospects, but I'm sure given your beliefs in Mullen's and your boosters' virtues, you would tell me that Ole Miss must just not have been cheating those years. Hell, in 2009, Nutt had a year to establish his cheating ways, while Mullen had only just arrived, yet you still cleaned house. How is that possible?

I know we cheat, because we're a BCS school trying to compete. I know you cheat too. I think your boosters and assistants had to play it cool last year because Bond spoke up about Newton. You probably land more in-state prospects last year if you hadn't outed Newton.

We are not saying we have never "cheated." We ARE saying that OM has had some pretty flashy recruits going on social media and showing the world all this new bling they got IRONICALLY when school started.

You can call us "M$U" all you want (and frankly, I don't give two ***** if you do), but to my knowledge, the past few years (even if we have cheated), our players haven't been stupid enough to get write-ups in SportsByBrooks and BleacherReport about their tweets about new **** they got IRONICALLY when they got to campus (after they were complaining about the fact that money was hard to come by for their family).

And yes, I know we cheat, and I'm fine with it, because it's part of the game. We just need to be careful not to get too blatant and keep a level of plausible deniability. That's the rule. I just hope we're being smart about it.

Also, don't cite Bleacher Report or SportsByBrooks. I'm sure you cite Wikipedia as a legitimate reference too. Not that they can't have good information, but I could go post something for Bleacher Report tomorrow, and it wouldn't make it legitimate.

I was kidding about the "M$U" thing by the way. I just thought it was funny that Coach would suggest that money was going to be a factor, so you weren't going to have much of a shot, as if you don't play the game. And don't tell me Mullen doesn't know about the game and doesn't want to play the game. There is a reason he chose to keep Melvin on staff after Croom was fired, and it wasn't because Melvin is so good at teaching secondary technique. My original point was that if/when you sign some of these players, the same people that suggested money will come into play will be the same ones that say everything was on the up and up.

Claiming money will be on the table is just sandbagging in advance for if you lose a player.

What I said was they aren't writing articles about our players tweeting pictures of new trucks. I never once said it was a legitimate source. All I was saying is our players, for the most part, have done a better job of keeping our names away from those places because all they do is stir **** up.
