Basketball Basketball forfeit

Just heard that Hampton boys basketball team has forfeited tomorrows game versus BDS. Did not hear the reason. So maybe it is illness related. But I know they just built a new gym but not sure what else was built in addition to this? Seems like a questionable business decision to do this project knowing that your facing low enrollment/participation numbers.

Hampton did not forfeit the game as I previously stated. Hampton played with 5 kids and BDS did not play any of their seniors per what I was told.

Adding a new gym can also be so they can have more practices immediately after school instead of having to bring kids in from 6-8 or whatever a "late" or "early" practice would entail. Also, have to consider they now have more opportunities to use the stage in their old gym for anything after school or set up for performances and not have to affect their athletic programs when those situations occur. Probably more to it than just immediate numbers I would assume.

NSAA website says 1-0 in favor of BDS. That would signify a forfeit, wouldn’t it? Or was the score actually 1-0?

Not sure what score actually was or if score was actually kept. And I probably should've known that if seniors weren't playing for BDS that it was scrimmage and also a forfeit. Hampton does have 9 players on roster but don't know why there numbers were limited for this.
