This is my first post on this site. The first of many more to come. I am strictly a basketball guy, and will get you the news before the media will.

I'll break the first news to you that I have.

The whole team is back enrolled in July summer school with the exception of one.

John Riek.

He will be transferring out of the program.

Likely to Georgetown College. (Not Georgetown of the Big East)

Thanks, and have a great day. I will answer any basketball related questions that any of you may have.

He will transfer and develop into an NBA talent, knowing our luck. That frees up a scholarship for the Euro, I assume.

Harsh replies there. Just thought it would be a good idea. Maybe I should go elsewhere. Heard bad reviews on Genespage site, heard they were too strict and pumped all sunshine up your ***. So I thought I would come on here.

Well to answer some of the questions...

It was a mutual depart between Riek and the team. Both knew it wasn't working out. He almost transferred last year.

The European is a skilled guy with size. Still no word on whether he will come or not.

Steele is wayyyyy ahead of schedule and shouldn't miss a beat. He is doing very well with rehab and will be ready to compete for the starting 2 guard spot the day he returns. Steele isa gamer.

Why so harsh on my first post? That's no way to welcome a newcomer.

Someone asked for the good news. Well, with Riek leaving, as it has been rumored, his spot will be filled by a European that has alot more talent than he did.

I won't give his name, but he's from Lithuania, and still has a few hurdles before this can happen. Hopefully he gets past those hurdles and joins our squad. He'sa unique 6-6, 6-7 type player.

More good news? Rodney Hood is the truth. He's a legit 6-7 with very good handles, a good 3 point shot, and an excellent mid range jumper and basketball I.Q. Everyone will be very happy with him this year and next year. I expect him to leave after 2 years. Maybe 3.

Good posting but still being slightly hazed since you're new...

Incidentally, what do you know and can share concerning next season's nonconference games other than that we're in a Coaches v. Cancer hosting pod playing two schools to be determined (as well as going to NYC), playing (and hosting) West Virginia, and will be at Detroit Mercy this season (and the European trip)?

thanks alot for the info. I am always glad to hear basketball rumors as that is my favorite sport.

This Euro guy seems interesting....what are the chances he clears?

That should help out the RPI some unless we play cellar-dwelling SWAC & MEAC teams in the Coaches v. Cancer preliminaries. Thanks.

Cunningham was the primary recruiter on the kid from Lativa and he also does a lot more coaching than you'll ever know. But, heck, you are the only qualified coach anywhere so we might as well just accept you would be a better recruiter, better scouter, better x and o coach, and for sure better with the fan base. Just look at the polls on here about Stansbury and see how few think he doesn't doan admirable job. Didn't see you by the way at the basketball camps but I guess it is tough to get away from that computer and all those condom sales.
