There was a second game in Senegal scheduled, no? Or was it 1 and 3 in Portugal?

J-Mike's jumper looks good, squares up nicely and no wasted movement
I'm curious to see how well he can shoot from deep. I think I've heard some say he isn't a good outside shooter but also saw somewhere he shot 40 something percent from 3 last year. If he can hit the 3, watch out bc he's a baller

Reading way too much into video of ONE shot - but the catch into an unnecessary hop isn't encouraging.
He made the shot but it didn't look smooth.

I haven't seen him take 3's in highlight videos. Which leads me to believe he doesn't take many of them, and why would he, it seems like he's been able to get by guys off the dribble whenever he wants.
I think even more than making 3's, decision-making is going to be key for him. Young, quick players can be turnover and bad-shot machines.

I agree on him having super potential though - exciting player to watch offensively and defensively.
Yeah. Being super athletic can definitely be a hinderance in the development of guards. You gotta develop those ‘mid-major’ guard skills!
I believe Noah will be a good influence on JaMike. Noah “gets it” and uses quickness to his advantage instead of forcing stuff at the rim.

And upon slo-mo review the hop would draw a whistle as he caught the ball first…So, one of his feet was already his pivot foot as he collected the ball.

Odd comment. I'm not reading anything into a video of a shot. I didn't even mention it. I discussed reports of his shooting and his shooting percentage stats for the season

Think Milo saying that HE is reading too much into that one shot

Either way there seems to be pretty varied reports on what kind of shooter Davis is from the outside. His quickness and ability to get to the rim is unquestionable though. If he can at least be a solid 3 point shooter it will open up the drives for him

JaMike looks a lot like Derek from the long distance camera angle lol. And both play the quickness off the dribble game well (against smaller guys) for sure. Derek has relied on his decent size to try some pull up jumpers but to minimal success efficiency-wise although maybe he’s improved enough to where that becomes a decent shot selection in the long-run for him. Haven’t noticed if JaMike has a midrange game at all and that’s probably a good thing given he’s not as long as Derek.
