With the problems they have had scoring tonight, an 8 point lead seems like about a 20 point lead.
If we lose out, that will be 18 losses in three of his four seasons. Losing our best player in Shields, 18 losses could be on the horizon again next year.
The same thing that's happening to Nebraska happened to Iowa.
Both won huge at home and from what it looks like as of now both will have lost at PennSt.
Such a tough environment they are playing in tonight though.
Games not over yet...PSU sucks, so we can come back. But it looks like we never left the bus. Main difference...Iowa is going to be dancing for the second consecutive year. Nebraska will likey be under .500 for the second consecutive year.
By a large margin at this point. We have 26 points in the first 27 minutes of the game.......
I honestly have no idea if they will make the NIT next year. My guess is as good as yours. They are so hot and cold. Miles desperately needs a big man outside of Jacobsen. It is glaring to me that we need better shooters besides White and Watson. McVeigh is okay, so is Webster, but we need better guards to compete consistently in the B1G. Hopefully Isaiah Roby and Jeriah Horne bring in some good shooting mojo.
Well, got it down to six again. Hopefully they don't break down defensively and give up back to back threes again.
Still may go to the Vegas 16 with a losing record...no chance at the NIT though.

Hell, would love to see what Doc would do with this team. 6 seasons here, 4 winning seasons. 3 NIT appearances.

White has just absolutely disappeared these last two games. Shields was huge tonight. He had I think 14 in the first half and the rest of the team was 2 of 15 from the field......yikes. They literally looked half asleep until that last 8 minutes or so. Wonder what the hell the deal was. PSU was on fire from 3 there for a while which seemed to just totally deflate us for some reason. They were draining contested 3s with a hand in their face.
For the most part our three point defense was brutal...may have been by design though. They had a lot of open looks.
Top 30 salary in NCAA basketball. Won't make the top 96 in year 4. Someone needs to start being paid commensurate with his results.
I do know that White hurt his shoulder against/before the OSU game, so that has probably affected his shot and aggressiveness.
Nebraska basketball fans are just like Chicago Cub fans=wait until next year.
Only one of those games is considered an upset. As far as most of the conference is concerned it's just 2 crappy teams playing a game
Hopefully the football team rebounds but the last 12 months has seen us in the bottom half of the conference in the big 3 -- football, basketball, and baseball. We didn't get an invite into this conference to enhance its academic reputation.
Oh well I guess we have volleyball and bowling.
And speech.
Didn't know that. That explains a bunch. He looked really passive and almost afraid to shoot the ball and when he did he had trouble drawing iron. The rest of the team really needed to pick up some slack but other than Shields we got nothing from the rest of them. I know we're banged up and playing a bunch of freshmen but man our offense never got going until it was almost too late and then that stupid foul by White at the end.....
