Oldie. Back when Districts mattered.

James Monroe is the defending D3 state champions, and they are loaded once again. They have a great coach in Richard Serbay and All-State caliber players in Farkeem French, Will Campbell, and Greg Edwards.
Chancellor returns their starting quarterback, Micah Cunningham, and he is one of the district's most talented players. When you add in five returning All-District players on defense, there should be no reason why that shouldn't compete for the district title.
Courtland has the best defensive player in the district in lineman Chris Ragonesi, who has D1 offers. However, they finish the season with road games at Chancellor and James Monroe, and those two contests will likely determine if their playoff streak continues.
Eastern View jumped out of the starting gate, winning seven games in their inaugural season. The schedule gets a little stronger this year--their first in the Battlefield.
Caroline has a new coach and a new offense that will try to spread the field. Receiver Quinton Broaddus should be the beneficiary of the wide open attack.
The outlook is positive for Culpeper who will face a AA scheduled after going winless against while playing AAA teams. They should improve as they get adjusted to running the complex triple option.
King George also has a new coach, and with so many young players, it may take another year for them to move up in the district standings.
Finally, Ben Lawrynas has his work cut out for him at Spotsylvania, which has suffered through five straight losing seasons.
