LOL no way he is the GOAT #1 is Wooden, #2 Coach K # 3 Rupp

From a titles and wins perspective yes.

Wooden dominated a very specific window with literally the best talent.

K dominated a conference with one school with pretty much the best talent.

Pitino resurrected multiple programs and won at high levels in multiple conferences. Hasn’t always had the best talent.

Pitino also survived and came back from scandals and issues.

I don’t know if Wooden could win without NBA hall of famers in an era where talent is spread out and every team plays on TV.

I don’t know that K could resurrect a program from the Abyss.

Could either win at Iona? Who knows?

I know Pitino did.

Coaches are judged by titles and wins. Thanks for proving my point.

He’s the GOAT.

Can win in any conference with any team in any era of basketball.

Turning around St. John’s at his age in this current college sports climate is absolutely insane.

Rooting for him.
He made 1 terrible decision. If he would have decided to stay at UK for a career, he would have won at least 5 natties and been seen by many as one of the all-time greats no doubt.

The GOAT is Rupp by a mile. Then there’s a dozen or so to look at for second place.

Well Pitino has titles wins and all that other stuff that I talked about in my above post.

I think greatest anything is a tad bit more nuanced than just strictly wins and titles.

All above mentioned coaches plus a handful more are up in the discussion.
