We lose Barry Stewart scholarship and Sidney's scholarship. Maybe we get rid of a couple of the guys that won't ever play, but other than those 2, I don't know who else is on scholarship that we will lose.

and may leave the state for an elite program.

either way, i think we can legitimately hope for o'bryant, adams, hood, and smith. maybe ammons makes the fifth of the fab 5. of course, if we even get two of those, it will be something to be excited about.

the big house will provide some good games this spring and especially next spring.

Smith is a guy we really need. I think he's going to be an elite guard. He's got Zimmerman-like athletic ability.

So at least him and one of the big guys since a dominant post player has always been our bread and butter

We will be lucky if we sign 2 of these guys.

I think that the only 2 that are leaning towards us are the two big men Tyler Adams and Johnny O'Bryant

He is way back on the list and falling more every season.. over hyped and looks to have big academic problems, and will have the Ncaa following him closely

Look for us to sign 1 or 2 this season with Barry graduating and Sidney 1 and done.
For the 2011 class we will have room to sign 4 (Elgin will redshirt this season) unless we dont fill both this season and roll one over.

Johnny O'Bryant, Tyler Adams, Rodney Hood, Mychael Ammons, and DeVille Smith are the 5 we want from within MS.

This season we are looking for a wing mainly. We are also in top 7 for one of the top PG in the nation, cory joseph, but are highly unlikely to get a top PG with Dee Bost here for another year at least.

2009-10 scholarships: 1 senior1, 5 juniors, 3 sophomores, 4 freshmen
2010-11 scholarships: 4 seniors, 3 juniors, 5 sophomores2, 1 freshman
2011-12 scholarships: 3 seniors, 5 juniors, 1 sophomore, 4 freshmen

I dare say the 2011 class is the deepest and most talented group to come out of Mississippi in the last 20 years. Of the Rivals Top 150, the Miss. kids are as follows: O'Bryant (13 and rising), Smith (38), Ross (42 and falling), Luckett (60), Ammons (75), Adams (81), Hood (91) and Gardner (106)...
Would be one hell of a recruiting class signing 4 of any of these guys....

He's the Starkville kid. Committed to USM (I think). I coached him on a local youth league team (SAY) several years ago and he was just an average player. Then I saw him playing for SHS the last two years and he was dunking all over the damn place. At State's summer camp they have a slam dunk contest, and when it was his turn, it was like a theatrical event. Everyone gathered around and he did some pretty unbelievable stuff.

I'd take Ammons from Vicksburg instead of one of the Hoods......

If he stays healthy he should rise some more this year. Ross is selfish and wants to play the 2, when he is really a 3 or 4.

He had gotten upset and thrown the basketball at the player on the other team. The ball missed and hit an older lady sitting in the stands in the head. Definitely won't be calling on him to pitch or play QB any time soon.
