I know that Bryant's team played in the JUCO national tournament, just curious if anybody knows how he did individually and how his team did in this tournament.

3/21/2010 – Raiders end memorable season with 64-61 loss

Staff report

HUTCHINSON, Kan. The Northwest Florida State College basketball
team tipped off on Saturday about six hours earlier than it had hoped
heading into this week's NJCAA national tournament. Rather than playing
at 8 p.m. for the national title, the Raiders had a matinee meeting with
Wallace State (Ala.) to determine the tournament's fifth-place winner.

While winning fifth place may have provided little motivation, the
Raiders also had a chance to win their 31st game of the season, which
would have tied the 1995 and 2003 teams for the most in school history.
When Brian Bryant's off balance 3-pointer missed the mark at the buzzer,
that goal fell just short as the Raiders lost 64-61 to end their
memorable season.

Despite the miss, Bryant closed out his NWF State career with
typical brilliance, scoring a game high 24 points to go along with four
assists while playing all 40 minutes. In the second half, the
Mississippi State University-bound Bryant made several seemingly
impossible shots to keep NWF State in the game. However, his supporting
cast was noticeably quiet.

"This game was lost because we had one player show up and
compete," NWF State coach Bruce Stewart said. "Unfortunately, it's a
bitter way to end a 30-win season with a very heartless performance."

Latraius Mosley and Toby Veal were the only other Raiders to score
in double figures with 13 and 12 points, respectively. The rest of the
team combined for 12 points.

The Lions got their own inspired performance down the stretch in
L.A. Farmer's 19 point effort. Farmer scored the Lions' final 11 points
beginning with just over four minutes to play, and his two free throws
with 16 seconds left provided the winning margin.

The game was tightly-contest throughout, as the largest lead was a
50-44 advantage held by NWF State with 8:52 to play. Wallace State
would the Raiders within reach though, and tied the score four minutes
later on a Sergio Crowe 3-pointer with 4:42 to play. From there, Farmer
took over.

After Crowe's 3-pointer, Farmer made a transition layup, a
3-pointer and a pair of free throws to give the Lions a 60-55 lead. The
Raiders answered with a Toby Veal hook shot and a Bryant layup to cut
the lead to a point, before Farmer and Veal traded buckets to set up
Farmer's free throws with 16 seconds to go.

Rather than go for two points and then try to foul, the Raiders
elected to go for a tie with a 3-pointer. After Latraius Mosley and
Sherrard Brantley were both denied 3-point attempts, Bryant attempted a
leaner from the top of the key as time expired. But for what seemed like
the first time all game, the shot wouldn't fall for the Raider point
guard, securing a sixth-place finish for NWF State.

"Brian Bryant is a tremendous basketball player," Stewart said. "He
didn't lay down. He competed and was productive. He's one of my
favorite players I have ever coached and I hope nothing but great things
for him at Mississippi State and beyond."

Im glad he is going to be a bulldog, seems as if he is a late bloomer. He should replace Barry in a very good way.

I don't know.

I'm still a little skeptical.

He will have to make the transition to D1 ball and I wonder what his defense is like.

It would be great if he could replace Barry. I'm just not ready to put him in that position with Shaunessy waiting in the wings.
