My wife has a Yeti cup and lost the top. I gave her the top from my tractor supply knockoff and it fits perfectly. I think they are all exactly the same

All made by a 15 year old named Xen Yiang-Tu in a sweat shop outside Beijing with $2.25 in materials and $0.98 in labor.

I sit near Dorman every Saturday home game in the Fall and at The Dude in the Spring and watch the frat boys walk by in pairs (because it takes 2 of them to carry the Yetis) and just chuckle to myself because they've got a minimum $250 cooler to keep a couple 6 packs cold for 3 hours when a $25 Igloo on wheels would hold a lot more and can be pulled instead of carried by 1 person instead of 2.

But chicks in thongs don't sit on Igloos with wheels. At least that's what I've been told.

Hahahaha. The coolers are legit, and they have some other cool stuff, but they are 17ing crooks for selling this stuff at what they do. Igloo makes a rotomolded cooler that is less than half the price of a Yeti. I want one but haven’t talked to anyone who owns one.

I bought a 45 qt and 65 qt RTIC last year and they are awesome. They were at least half the price of Yeti (I think the 45 was $120 and the 65 was $150). I use the 45 all the time. It is much more manageable weight wise.

$40 for the bucket. $30 for the lid. $20 for the "caddy". $40 for the belt.

Drumroll...$130 + tax for a pimped out five gallon bucket.

I was at Northern Tool a few weeks back. They have nice buckets for $2.49, a screw on lid for $8.00, and a nice canvas bucket boss tool belt/caddy for about $12.00.

Ironically I bought 2 buckets for $5 because, they were much nicer than Homer buckets. A few days later is when I discovered the Yeti bucket and I am now losing sleep over the evil genius machine that is Yeti.

I must admit I am now full on jealous. I can't decide what is worse, that these evil geniuses have come up with a plan to sell a $3.00 bucket and lid for $70.00, or that people actually buy them. Many have argued why the $350 cooler is worth it for holding ice for 2 weeks and keeping zombies out, but this is a straight up five gallon bucket.

Pretty much impossible to find one that is even 20% of the price of the Yeti, unless it's filled with something of value. Absolute 17'n marketing geniuses.

I like this option...

which you actually cannot purchase in CA. Liberals are funny, not ha ha.

I actually know why you can't buy the dove seat bucket it in California. The structure of the swivel seat is most likely made with a plywood that is not CARB ( California Air Resources Board) compliant because it contains urea formaldehyde in the glue.

Let Me share an analogy. The MHP transports some donor organs as part of an unlabeled service they provide to UMC. If any situation required the use of a mil-spec, ultra-overpriced, rotoformed cooling container capable of maintaining cold storage for days at a time you would think a YETI would be perfect if it was a far superior product. Do you know what the MHP uses to transport organs?

A $1.99 styrofoam cooler you can buy at any bait shop or WalMart. I’ve even seen them at Kroger.

And they work perfect.

Fish wise, my 65 qt yeti hasn’t let me down in the 4 years I’ve owned it. Between Bayou to Horn I’ll trust my Yeti before anything.

I like Igloo, fished with it for years until Yeti. RTIC are pretty good too for the lower price.

Not bashing, but if a $400 cooler did let me down, I might have to drive to the Yeti HQ with bad intent.

Yeti is generally a good product that is significantly overpriced, but I swear by my 32oz Yeti cup. Making my morning coffee last til lunch and having it stay hot the whole time is wonderful. Of course, like everything else Yeti, there is a Walmart knockoff that is just as good for half the price.

I just get a second cup from the hot pot in a styrofoam cup that doesn’t cost a penny

why do you need to keep 32 ounces of coffee hot all day? Can you not drink a 12 ounce cup in the morning and go BACK to the coffee pot or store and get 12-16 more ounces later if needed?

No, they are sissies that cant drink coffee black like it should be. It has their special creamer in it from Whole Foods that is strictly organic!

I wouldn't say it's exactly the $1.99 bait shop/walmart version... The ones used in organ transport are 2" thick.

But your point is well-taken. I can confirm that styrofoam coolers are indeed used for that purpose.

i got the 65. Thing is huge. It’s a real ***** if full and you have to move it often. Great for car camping though. One of my rubber feet popped out which sucks, but they sent me a new one, and for the price I can overlook minor issues.
I’ve got a yeti tumbler (and the can holder/cooz) that was a gift (I’d never pay that much) and I’ve got a set of Costco knockoffs Yeti is definitely better quality, you can see a seam/weld in the Costco one, but it works fine.

This is an interesting watch...warning. NSFW language , and you’ll probably end up like me going down the rabbit hole with all his other videos.

Yeah that dude is a trip...and smart as ****. I’m the furtherest thing from a “shop guy”, but his videos mesmerize me. I was warned on another forum I’d get sucked in and I did.
speaking of sucked in, he’s done one(probably more) on a Dyson. That was good too.
enjoy

IMPP has had a few YETI butt threads. They are awesome. Probably the best use for one I’ve seen yet. Also probably why they developed the 5-gal bucket. To further advance the YETI butt movement
