the way, when did they start referring to their stadium as "The Vaught"? Maybe my time in the grove has not been what it needs to be to be privy to this information but this is the first time I have heard the stadium referred to like this. Changes, changes....changes.

ANYTHING that the crowd will participate in is cool.

The hippest trip in America....

The opposing fans ought to yell Shiiiiiiiiiiittt!!!, at the same time

It will sound like mass anal rape.

Maybe they are doing it in honor of Langston and Scruggs. Showing solidarity with their 2 biggest benefactors who are probably experiencing anal rape.

O The Coach?

O my my, O hell yes, yell O in yo Grove dress.

And like FlabLoser said, as much as I hate to agree with him, anything that the crowd gets into as a whole is a good cheer.

The "O" cheer isn't any less ingenious than "Maron-Whit" and "Go State." I mean, really, what genius came up with those? A cheer is a cheer...its not suppose to be clever or humorous.

it would make sense.

This would sort of be like Dan and Scott handing out "Maroon is all that matters" t-shirts at the UK game.

I grew up an Ole Miss fan in an Ole Miss family. Not once did I hear "The Vaught".

As for the cheer, any "tradition" or action you have to force and promote makes it stupid.<div>
</div><div>The guy that starts the maroon white cheer before the games gets on my nerves and I don't participate because it's forced. However, in the middle of the UGA game it was started totally by the fans and it was possibly the loudest and most awesome maroon white cheer I've ever heard. </div>

so pretty much what they are doing is saying you should yell when our team is on defense. Anyone yelling continuously is either screaming something that sounds like Oooooooo or Heyyyy.

By this time next year they will be the first to have done this and everyone in the country will be copying them.</p>

but instead they decided to go with the "Yell O" thing.

I think it's sad that we have to make a video to encourage fans to make noise, but maybe targeting something more specific will work more than just a generic "Make Some Noise" video. If it makes our blue hairs get louder, I'm all for it.

I'm just glad to see our sports marketing group making an effort after years of stumbling over ourselves with no gameday coordination.

They should start new traditions and embrace their identity of the Mississippi (Louisiana) Black Bears.

But I'm not a bulldog fan that is oddly obsessed with Oregon. I just happen to be an alumni of both. Also, the "Yell O" slogan or whatever has been at Oregon for awhile. Maybe it was Masoli's contribution to the growing UM tradition lexicon.

If you consider this a coup by your "sports marketing group" then you seriously need to shop that out again. "Yell O"? Really? You paid someone for that? WTF?
