Everyone he’s losing to is the same size. Tate, Bastida, Ferrari are all about the same. Mirasola is about 10 pounds less. Not a weight casualty.

In the Penn State match, Ben weighed 238.0 and Mirasola weighed 227.4.

Here are the weights of some other B1G HWTs on the dates that they wrestled PSU. Doesn’t seem like the B1G HWTs are very big this year.

Hunter Catka: 261.0
Gabe Christenson: 223.7
Nick Feldman: 236.0
A.J. Ferrari: 227.6
Taye Ghadiali: 233.8
Caleb Marzolino: 219.7
Joey Schneck: 278.4 - backup

Potentially a Division 2 or Division 3 heavetweight. Coe College (Cedar Rapids), maybe Cornell College (Mount Vernon). Either school would a good fit, and good career choice for Keuter.

Stop...BK is not leaving Iowa. At least not by his own doing... Not knowing how much he's making from NIL, I don't think anyone would/could match it and he needs to prove that he's healthy before another school would risk it. He would definitely NOT move to a lesser division especially if he has Sr level aspirations.

I agree on third period ride. Didn’t make any sense if he was truly wanting to win. So have to assume he wasn’t. Is Ben planning on football next fall? Can’t remember.
I've no clue, but my sense was that he thought he had a better shot at trying to get a turn than a takedown. But he seemed to only be trying something right away, then just gave up on that. Doesn't seem to have much confidence/offense against top 10 guys.

Correct, it's a body type casualty. No hips, no explosion and slow feet because of leg length.
That's not a body type casualty. That's a failure in strength and conditioning, another common theme in this program. We look tiny compared to other programs and our third period dominance is a thing of the past.

Is Keuter back next year? Can he take a redshirt year?
Somebody else said he's doing football. If that's the case, I'd prefer he just focus on that.

The football thing needs to be put to bed. Hate to sound like I'm bagging on the kid, but he wasn't close to seeing the field or even the 2-deeps when he was on the team. 2-3 years away and a couple injuries is not going to make him closer. Focusing on wrestling is his best shot. He's not a football contributor at this level.

Ben is an ectomorph, he's always going to have a hard time putting on muscle.

A wrestler has to have some pride and be somewhat self motivated.
You don't see any of that when he steps on the mat.

TnT need to send a message and sit him.
I question if he's ever been in the weight room. He needs to get bigger and he hasn't changed alot. I agree, he loses 10-0 and hardly takes a shot

An ectomorph body type is tall and lean with smaller muscles, narrow shoulders, and narrow hips. People with this body type often have a naturally fast metabolism, which can make it difficult to gain body fat and muscle.

Had to look that one up, kind of like that word, may use it from time to time.

Corby2, you are such an Ectomorph.

A four point turn and then riding him out in the third/erasing riding time would have sent the match to sv.

LOOK, I was the 1st(maybe the ONLY) to say, I am just NOT seeing it in KEUTER when it came to Football??? EVERYONE was claiming I was wrong and he was a HIGH LEVEL recruit etc...... I said it then, have been saying it, MAYBE he can be a EDGE rusher guy, IF he gets to 275 plus!!!!

^^^^ THAT being said, those turds on here saying things like he should go to a small skool, he is slow twitch etc...... You are FOOLS!!! Kid was an AA last year!!!! I still feel there is something "holding him back" and I hope he can GET RIGHT for the end of the season!!!

ALL that ^^^^^ being said, IF he gets to 275 pounds and goes FULL TIME Wrestling. He WINS it ALL!!!!

MOCCO has shown some B1G improvement in size, strength, ability!!!! He has a MUCH B1Gger frame then his old man so he TWOOOOO needs to hit the IRON like a MADMAN!!!! That kid at 275 could be a 4 TIMER!!!!

I hope that his dad knows who CARLTON HASELRIG is!?!?!? Not getting these small type heavies who HASELRIG would DESTROY PERIOD!!!! Get the kid B1G!!!!

A four point turn and then riding him out in the third/erasing riding time would have sent the match to sv.
Uuugh, did you watch? "I urge you, I compel you, I implore you, I beseech you", watch the replay.

Who are the current AWA guys in college? Are they even good though?
This is not a full list and you have to have some decent knowledge on D1 wrestling but check out this AWA list and tell me he (they) don't turn out the freaking talent.

Sure I watched that match. What’s your point?

Lots-of-stuff I could pick-nits with. Disturbing to me was Kueter's failure to build a base while on the bottom in 1st and 2nd periods. In fact Keuter seemed resolved to remain flat! He has no base to wrestle from, how does he improve his position (he doesn't). His failure to attack (offense) and general demeanor (body language) during the entire bout says something. Not sure what it says, but does not inspire me.

Why do you say that? He is getting paid ALOT. He took the money he should take the ripping. You can’t have it both ways. It’s now a job he is being paid for. In the real world poor performers or let go.
I have attended upwards of 5,000,000 wrestling meets/tournaments (old as dirt).
The stuff I overhear there makes my hide crawl, in the past and currently.
I think the uncalled for crap from fans is getting worse with time.
How must that make his family/him feel?
$$$$ only helps so much.

I’m as old as dirt also coached for over 30 years never made parents happy telling them their kid wasn’t cutting it. It has nothing to do with the kid and all to do with the performance. By all accounts he’s a great kid. Right now he is not wrestling very good. It’s on him not the coaches to fix it.

Great intel on the football. How many practices do you attend?
