5 million???? lol

I have cringed sitting among fellow "PSU fans" for years. Don't get me wrong, most are great, but, there is definitely a handful of fans who definitely were football only fans who jumped over after the success came with Cael. Due to the success, they just expect everyone to go out there and straight dominate. There was a guy at the match Friday, complaining that Lilledahl and Blaze didn't "have it like they usually do". Obviously, he didn't realize who they were wrestling. He then said that Davis should be embarrassed. I don't have the patience to try to explain "it" to them. One guy did say, they were wrestling in order, the #2, #2, #1 (#2 PFP), the annoying guys response "I don't care who they were wrestling" I've had to listen to stuff like this for years. At Nationals when Dake beat Taylor, I gave them both a standing ovation and stayed standing to cheer for Dake. An old PSU fan said "what kind of fan are you, cheering for him" I said, "He just did something that no one has ever done before". There are a LOT of insanely spoiled PSU fans at the matches and on the board. It's painful.

That's not a huge list for the praise he gets
Missing Peyton Mocco.

It also doesn't include guys like Sinclair and the Mirasolas who are going to be AAs sooner rather than later. Scoles is a AA contender as a sophomore. Millard top 20 as a freshman.

Downplaying Askren's success in producing future D1 studs only makes you look stupid.

Everything that Rex posts reeks of stupidity. Don't debate with stupid people, you'll eventually drop to his level and he'll beat you with experience.

An ectomorph body type is tall and lean with smaller muscles, narrow shoulders, and narrow hips. People with this body type often have a naturally fast metabolism, which can make it difficult to gain body fat and muscle.

Had to look that one up, kind of like that word, may use it from time to time.

Corby2, you are such an Ectomorph.
Ben does NOT have narrow shoulders. Hips yes but he's not an ectomorph. He's lean but so was Kerkvliet, look what he was able to turn his body into with high level S&C and nutrition.

You are getting tripped up by your own flawed logic. The fact is very good AKA kids will not go to Iowa due to Askren’s influence and his dislike of Brands.
That is a problem.

Parker keck, mirasola bros, o’toole and Mesenbrink would not and did not go to Iowa because of Askren’s influence. That’s a problem. That’s the influence.
Well three are at psu so I'm sure Cael had influence also.

to all of the fans that do not understand the human body has limits. Then put the body through surgeries. Recovery is HARD. The switch will turn soon.,
Lower body and shoulder injuries are the toughest to recover from. Look at Matt Fields after Konrad broke his leg, never the same, I dont think he had a takedown shot his whole senior season.

The thing many seem to be missing is, even IF Kueter's injury/surgery has fully healed, how much invaluable time did he lose to train during that process? With many guys the offseason is where the most "gain" can be accomplished. If most, or even all, of that time is spent in recovery, it is almost impossible not to regress.

On top of all that you can lose a ton of confidence in your body moving certain ways. Even if healed, it may feel totally uncomfortable to move that way. It is nearly impossible to make all those adjustments during the season and losing a few matches, in a way he probably wouldn't have before, doesn't help.

A medical redshirt this season would have probably been the best decision, but I doubt that fit best for his plan moving forward...

Mine was a legit question. I don't pay attention to who goes to what clubs. He has an impressive list of athletes.

The amateur psychologist in me thinks there is a lot to this. It takes time for the brain to trust the repair even long after the healing. A couple of people with ACL repairs have told me that was the hardest part. Getting over the mental hurdle of the remembered trauma takes time and it is different for everyone. I have no idea if that is stopping Kueter from pulling the trigger, but it seems possible. And if that is the case then it is certainly curable with time.

The hip or the mental hurdles dressed as twins?

I never had a ruptured ACL but I ruptured my patellar tendon and it took a good 10 months to be 100%.

Man AWA ruined Askren.

I am old enough to remember when Ben could roll around with his kids on the mat and go watch them at tournaments.

Yeah, the guy is 40 and had a double-lung transplant. He did continue to roll with them after his hip replacement. Didn't he wrestle Burroughs after the hip replacement, too?

Iowa is gonna wait around for 5 years for BK to develop. He isn’t putting on size, strength, or new skills since being at Iowa. Great wrestler before college but he’s a bore to watch now. If he wasn’t a local kid he wouldn’t be gifted so many excuses and passes to his mediocre results against top wrestlers

I've been saying all year that he doesn't trust his hip. It could be that it wasn't rehabbed enough, but it could be mostly psychological.

And this might be one if the biggest weaknesses of TnT is getting their guys to believe more. Maybe Gable's guys didnt want to disappoint him, but they definitely rose to the occasion more often than not. People point to upper class regression, that's all mental. There are a ton of things that influence that.

Iowa ranked 7 Oklahoma State pins the last two matches Bailey, Ferrari and Kueter don’t wrestle wtf is going on with this team? This is a turning point where Tom and Terry need to make some serious decisions about the state of Iowa wrestling. Pathetic

Kueter needs to find another home.

Who had Ben #1 P4P ? Brian doesn't know what he's talking about that's a shocker. Flo had him #2 and Willie #6. Let's see what # is next to his name in March. Until then grab some more Kleenex for the tears
Oh no, he didn't finish #1, he finished as the #2 over PFP wrestler in his class. That makes all the difference in the world between an expected champion and a guy who you should hope to slide into a low AA. LMAO.

Gotta love it when being an All-American is “just didn’t work out.” Slipped on a banana peel and fell onto the podium.
Have you missed this season?

Every time he loses, there is a litany of posters blaming some unknown injury or making other excuses for his performance.
Forget mat awareness, score situation, saving a team point, lack of aggression, or, and this is my favorite...gets rode the majority of the 2nd period...and chooses down to start the 3rd period.
Last season is history. You're expected to improve when the weight class nearly entirely cleared out.
$$$$$ changes people.
