I think they do for SF reasonsIf I'm JCA against Marist, I keep the guys coming back from injury out of the game and let them heal another week. Then, if they lose and go 7-2 they can see where they are positioned in the brackets. That then dictates whether they let the guys rest another week. IHSA is NOT going to separate JCA, NAZ, and MCC into different brackets. And if LWW drops to 5A, then LWW will go south and JCA, NAZ and MCC will all be in the north. Last thing IHSA wants is an all ESCC final in DeKalb.

ch02st,
Trent had a great game, especially second half when they went to a 3 man front. But to say the Dline dominated is not accurate. Had they dominated the game would have been filled with Tackles for loss and it wasn't. They did a hell of a job containing the run and forcing the pass which is a HUGE accomplishment! The quick tempo and Quick game offense Benet came with neutralized the big bodies of JCA and gave Jack time to pass, and the run game worked when needed because the pass game kept the JCA LBs and DBs on their heels rather than coming down hill. Had Benet kept the pace they played with in the second half the outcome could have been even more lopsided. Again tip of the hat to Benet on a solid game plan.
Well with the constant tweaking by the IHSA, one of 2 things is going to happen.however it's set up when either Naz or JC beat Washington running clock then FE is back next year so both JC Naz go 6A or they will amend SFDean,
I believe SF would not kick in for Naz because of the "MC rule" winning or participating in state title game in 2 different classes.

Fair enough. Looking at the game tape in detail, I would agree. JCA had 36 rushes for 166 yards. By JCA standards a lite rushing output. 5 for loss, 4 for 0, 8 for 1-3 yards, 6 for 4-6, 8 for 6 -10, and 4 for 10+. JCA could not string any consistent big rushes together, but had some success. Passing was just as in consistent. 14/31 for 173. The three tds were 61 of those yards. While they would hit some big plays here and there, Benet often did not let those plays happen in bunches so containing is a good description. When is the last time JCA threw 31 times?

What is FE?I would welcome FE back in a second. Best way to handle, for everybody.
