I’m usually a Blue Rooster guy. Never been disappointed there. Not going to Stamps although it’s a good burger. Burgers and blues is ok. That’s it . Not a huge fan of five guys …. Good enough but not my favorite. Recommendations ? What am I missing?

Try Walk-Ons (assuming there's on in the Jackson area). It's a chain, but the burgers are really good. And about the same price point as Five Guys.

Brent's has a classic burger. Nothing fancy. Diner style. Love their fry seasoning.

Crooked Letter Kitchen now has a location at a gas station in Flowood. It has one of the better burgers you will ever eat.

Beer selection is good, food overall is just ok.

-foundation is a really good burger.....could be great
-Roosters is a really good burger.....rock solid choice for sure
-I really want to try this crooked letter place.....look great
-*-ate at sacred ground bbq in Pocahontas the other day, and they have a smash burger, and I will let you know, but good heavens, that place is good.....their smash burger could possibly be AMAZing, but I don't have the mental control to order the burger over the other stuff they have!!!
-I have not had Krilakas, but will do soon
-Brents is really just average at best......but I'll be damn if the banana nutella milkshake aint almost perfect.....
-STARKS in hazlehurst is a good burger

Zip's is not worth a dedicated drive from Jackson, but if you are going that way, it's worth scheduling your trip to be by there at lunch.....that Zip's sauce is legit
Thought for a second Mississippi somehow got one of these

Stamps would be my top pick but if you're not going there then a few places I haven't seen mentioned that I've enjoyed are Saltine and Aladdin

Krilakis Mozz burger & fries is awesome. I like Ed's in Hatty when I drive through. They've won that MS Beef council best burger in the state award. I have Foundation burger on my hit list. Looks outstanding. Lous's Full Serve has a great burger. Stamps for nostalgia if you feel like driving by JSU. Another nostalgia spot for me is CS's but haven't been in a cpl years. Waiting to see if the most decorated burger the last 3 years in the Jackson Metro shows up in the thread...

Babalu was definitely my favorite.

I can second some I’ve seen mentioned… krilakis, bulldog burger, sacred ground are all good.

What I’ve not seen mentioned so far… aplos, Lou’s full serv (may only serve this at lunch), mugshots is still good, Georgia blue has a decent burger. Kind of off the wall suggestion is Sombra.

Krilakis in Ridgeland has a great burger.
I just had their burger Saturday. Was a bit disappointed. Their gyros & fries are outstanding though. I like Burgers Blues & BBQ and Roosters. Bulldogs Burger may be the best but for dime reason I rarely go there.

Haven't lived in Jackson for decades but CS's was always a great burger. But go during daylight hours.

This post has me longing for a Butch’s Bistro Butter Burger. It’s been closed for about a year and I still haven’t found a replacement for my weekly cheeseburger? Anybody have some great burger recommendations for anywhere between downtown Pensacola and Orange Beach?
