Mine use to be Blue Sky in Winona. Stopped at the chevron at north shore and spillway a couple days ago. 1.89$ for a medium and it was the bomb

Don’t have a favorite c-store, but I don’t like Pilot coffee.
Not a c-store, but McDonald’s coffee is very good
I’m on team McCafe as well…..which is odd because I find everything else on their menu to be disgusting.

Really any of the places that has a coffee you can make hot on the spot instead of rolling the dice with whatever is sitting out is fine with me. None of them rally stand out taste wise - just get it to me hot.

There is more such thing as convenience store coffee. They sell a caffeinated beverage they're trying to pass off as coffee.

Man, Spirit Mart, the holiday blend & that southern pecan can’t be beat. Use that Sprint Mart loyalty card & get a free cup erry now & again. They cook a mean pork chop too! :)
You telling me you can actually taste a difference between the blends? I’m just not a big fan of convenience store coffee - have never been found any that I’d consider better than others. And I’m not a coffee snob. Half the coffee I’ve drank in my life came from the community work pot

I have the answer and it’s not remotely close. Fleetway in G’stadt, and I’m assuming all Fleetways, have a machine that grinds the beans and brews fresh. It allows a choice for tradional or coffeehouse style crema or something like that. Pick the crema one. With the card it’s like $1.50. It’s not quite as good as a $8 coffee from Cups (which is the goat) but it’s not far off and the best value in coffee by a long shot.

I’m just jealous that you people can drink coffee without making life choices. I love the taste of coffee, but if I drink half a cup of any coffee, hot, cold or lukewarm, I might as well schedule a colonoscopy the next morning because the system purge is both imminent and catastrophic. I drank a cup with my wife on Christmas morning and I swear I s#!+ an English pea that afternoon. I haven’t eaten an English pea since the third grade and I’m in my forties. I’m envious of you bastards who drink it every day with impunity.

Bucc-ees is really good, but not always convenient. I like RaceTrac's coffee.
Buccees’ coffee is trash. I don’t understand it. It is consistent. Just consistently bad. Pilot and QT and race trak are all better and decent. McDonald’s is also a good option when traveling.

A good friend of mine is in the commercial coffee and tea industry. Since retirement I’ve helped him part time on projects and have learned a lot about an industry I had zero experience with. The one thing I’ve learned is don’t eat or drink anything from a convenience store that isn’t prepackaged. It’s not worth the chance. I’ve been inside those coffee brewers and those fountain drink machines.

It’s rare that I’ll get coffee (of really anything) at a convenience store. Only on fairly long car trips. I’ll get some in a 16oz thermos when I leave the house or hotel. Bit if it’s more than a 4- hour trip I’ll just get an afternoon cup at pretty much any store that looks reasonably clean. I’m looking for caffeine & convenience more than what’s the best one.
