I hope that JK's defense will be mentioned with the best in the East. We should be more athletic with more speed.

That was me that said that. Talked to him a couple times and he said he has thought about it. I definitely encouraged him. I think JK is back and hope he will be also
Walkertown led all of 2a last fall….in average points allowed…at just over 10 points a game…in their 11 games. Had 5 shut outs and allowed a safety in another. I thought….why couldn’t they do that again?….until I looked at their new schedule.

Anyway……Salisbury, Forest Hills, and North Davidson….in their non-conference schedule. I’m loving that.

Did you see Walkertown’s schedule outside of playing Reidsville? A lot of teams would look like the ‘85 Bears or 2000 Ravens playing that opposition. Oh, my bad. Reading is fundamental. Once I read that first sentence, I instantly replied, because seeing them and “led all of 2A” was laughable in any regard. Yeah, that’s a good non conference schedule. Credit to them for stepping it up. Too bad they lost a couple of their top players in the preseason.Of course I did!
That’s why I was shocked when I saw their new schedule.

I think this will be our one big question mark at West Craven. Our head coach is a really good defensive coach so hopefully he can take what we have and get the most out of it.
Reidsville will have the best pass defense.

Monroe!!!! Look out for that Redhawk defense, big, fast, and athletic. No. 11 and 6 are some headhunters. I think Monroe finally shows up this season as the powerhouse we expected them to be, since coming down to the 2A ranks. They have it all! I was more impressed with their D last night, in the Cleveland County Jamboree.

Monroe has a 220 pound runningback too, that’s getting college attention. He has an offer from Charlotte. Monroe fan sat behind me, put me on to their studs. Told me they play up their first 5 games, and he’s hoping they can come out of it 3-2, tall task, though. Looking at their schedule, it’s actually the first 4 games. They play FH the fifth game.
Nope! That’s going to be a game! Monroe’s offense still needs some work, but it was still solid. Have to credit Crest’s D with some of those early deficiencies.

Me and @shutdownD24 were both saying Monroe might win..I think that was a WC fan who said they wouldn’t have any problems with Monroe. I think it may be a defensive game though because both offenses need work.
