What the heck did that mean? If you didn't see it, on the jersey they hang in their dugout projecting the number of the next win, written above the number was "200 feet."

If it's been discussed, I missed it.

Thanks.

WTF kind of rally they were calling for by writing the the word "SNATCH!" on a piece of ankle tape and taping it to their forehead?

All I could come up with was, "Watch us SNATCH defeat from the jaws of victory ... aGAIN."

It was a back-handed tribute to the 100 USM fans that will be making the trip to Omaha in their stead.........I think he always knew.

They had some sort of sports psychologist brought in to meet with the team over a period just to shake things up from the normal off-season routine.

The guy apparently talked about focusing only on the next 200 feet or something like that. Basically, it was all about focusing only on the next pitch, the next at bat, flushing the past, all the other cliches. Apparently they did some strange activities to emphasize focusing only on what you can control and some trust exercises.

I read a brief article on it a while back, but I can't remember all the details. All I know is that the 200 feet thing stems from that off-season deal that they did.

The anouncers said the 200 feet is the averge distance car headlights show and they need to focus on the path directly in front of them and what they can see. Not to get too far ahead of themselves.

Made me laugh...and it's hard to laugh today.

An aggravation near the end of the year not mentioned by much of anyone is how often he flew out/popped out down the stretch. That kid has no business EVER hitting the ball anywhere but on the ground...doesn't bunt nearly enough, either...ought to at least once a game.

and his on base percentage was .473.

I know he doesn't hit the ball hard, and I know it isn't pretty, but he was the perfect lead off man. Even this weekend when people were complaining that he wasn't doing enough, he was 3 for 11 at the plate (only .272), but he had 3 walks, which means that in 14 plate appearances, he reached at a .429 clip. That's what you want from your lead off man. Just get on base, and he did it better than just about everyone else on our team this weekend.

just throw it down the middle of the plate. If you walk him, its a double. He is not going to hit a home run so worst cases scenario you risk a triple. Its worth it to make him get a hit.

Jordan Henry was basically the sole reason Ole Miss scored runs most of the year. If he didn't get on base, they didn't score. He is going to be drafted in the top 10 rounds so he must be a little better than you are crediting him. Ole Miss 2-9 hitters were not very impressive at all.

And it was funny only because it's true. He may be able to hit it 250-300 feet on occasion, but not very often.

I was responding to Fresno Bob. Apparently a lof of our fans have been complaining about his lack of hitting lately. They just don't seem to get that he isn't doing anything any differently than normal. It was his comment that I felt needed to be addressed. What Henry does isn't really very pretty or impressive, but he's always on base. Some of our fans just don't seem to get that, and they don't seem to understand how valuable that is at the top of your order.

The rebel dugout reminded me more of a women's softball team than a sec baseball team with all of their dumbass antics this weekend. I understand that athletes are superstitious, but damn......
