That's a violation if I remember correctly.

@BretBielema: Excited to announce Ty Storey is joining the family! He's one of the best QBs in the nation and starts our 2015 class in a strong way!

Interesting...

@870_hogfan: @jspride @BretBielema no since he signed a financial aid agreement he can have unlimited access to him and talk about him.

For whatever reason I thought that they couldn't openly talk about the prospect until they enroll though. I remember something like this coming up last year because a recruit signed multiple financial aid agreements.

Yeah it appears to be true. For all intents and purposes this is an early signing period for January enrollees. Its a good start I guess toward an early signing period. I feel like they should go ahead and let those guys sign their National Letter of Intent just so there is no confusion because by signing those financial aid documents he is locked in. I'm sure this guy knows but it could be a point of confusion for 18 year old kids without the best support and guidance from their relatives.

13.11.2 Comments Before Signing. Before the signing of a prospect to a National Letter of Intent or an institution's written offer of admission and/or financial aid, a member institution may comment publicly only to the extent of confirming its recruitment of the prospect. The institution may not comment generally about the prospect's ability or the contribution that the prospect might make to the institution's team; further, the institution is precluded from commenting in any manner as to the likelihood of the prospect's signing with that institution. Violations of this bylaw do not affect a prospect's eligibility and are considered institutional violations per Constitution 2.8.1.

Coaches can talk about players once they're signed. Otherwise, signing day would be very different than it is.

Matt Womack also signed his financial aid package with LSU on Saturday. Looks like that's where he's really going.

How does Arkansas produce so many D1 QB recruits?

Mustain, Mallet, Wilson, the current guy, this guy who just committed, and another recruit named Ross Trail committed to Cincinatti.

In Mississippi in the last ten years, we've had Tyler Russell and who? Ryan Buchanan. The guy who went to Georgia and never played is the only other one I can think of. Was Favre Jr. a walk-on?
