why would the sec even think about picking up tulane?? if any team it would be clemson who has had interest several years ago. USM keep dreaming. Arkansas isnt leaving anyway

...universities that also had I-A programs which kind of fits the Big 10 profile:
Iowa State, Maryland, Miami (Ohio), Nebraska, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and Syracuse. Notre Dame ranked around #20 and Nebraska ranked #<span style="text-decoration: line-through;">100</span> 96-- both in US News and World Report.

you all are most likely correct but there are a lot of the old boosters from my understanding talking to our agents up in Arkansas that really miss the rivalry of the SWC games. Yes they could schedule them OOC but the SEC is already tough enough for them with out having to play Big 12 schools.

But there's probably just as many of them that would rather see them stay in the SEC. Most all of their fans under 50 remember more years of Arkansas being in the SEC than they remember of them in the SWC. But the real kicker would be when the AD takes a look at what their check from the Big 12 would be and compares it to what their check from the SEC is. That'll end any real consideration of Arkansas to the Big 12.

arkansas has been in the SEC almost 20 years now. hog fans' desire to rekindle old rivalries is becoming more distant every year. outside of your older folks, there's not many arkansas fans that would prefer the big 12. i have a lot of friends over there and they get a lot of satisfaction out of beating lsu, ole miss, state, and bama. we may not think they have big rivals in the SEC, but they've sure developed a hatred for many SEC west teams.
on another note, if a big 12 team such as mizzou or iowa state went to the big 10, i think TCU would have a solid chance at the big 12.

...Notre Dame also would be a North possibility because it's in Northern Indiana fairly close to the Michigan state line and Chicago.
In that case, shifting Iowa to the South and putting ND in the mix would create two pretty balanced divisions. The only downside I see is that OSU & Michigan always play the final game of the season. In the event they both won their divisions, they would end up playing back-to-back games against one another. Hopefully they wouldn't be too stubborn to move that match up to the middle of the season. Possibly have Michigan play MSU or ND the final weekend and OSU could play Penn State.

ND is having trouble recruiting because of their arrogance and a no need policy to join a conference.
I dont care who their coach is, theyre likely to have real problems there recruiting if they dont get into a conference in the next 5 yrs.

They went on to talk about how high ND recruiting classes have been ranked the last four years and how uninformed I was. I say rivals and scouts are BS. Rivals had Ole Miss Preseason 14th. That alone should disqualify them from ever being creditable. Any recruit rating is subject to human error and bias. I remember last year when Chris Garrett was considering Miss State he was a 3 star QB. A few days later after committing to LSU he was moved up to a 4 star recruit. Plus I will add that the only numbers that count is Wins and Lost and TV ratings and those numbers don't bid well for ND.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span> Until they join a conference and let more dumb asses in they will not be relevant.baderdawg said:
