He’s whining but he’s right. This is why the SEC is the best. For football, these larger footprint conferences can work. Every other sport, it’s idiocy.

The travel expenses and just general fatigue of all the travel for these schools and the athletes is going to come to a head. It’s not sustainable for other sports besides football.

I get that he’s not wrong. But he’s being paid a lot of money for that travel. He knew what was coming 2 years ago. Either take another job or do your job.

These dudes want the NBA lifestyle, well here you go. Honestly it has to suck for the folks arranging the travel. But maybe it pays dividends come tourney time. They should be non-plussed by having to travel.

He’s been against it from the beginning but if UCLA was dumb enough to try playing in the Big 10 then he’s smart for making them continue to pay him. Non football sports flying all over the country multiple times a week is asinine.

I don't feel bad for him or any of the high paid "student athletes". Cost of doing business.

It definitely sucks for average joes and janes in non rev sports balancing their athletic commitment with actually going to school. You could get a lot of studying done in theory on 5 hour flights but having spent the early part of my career in planes and hotel rooms, you aren't remotely close to as productive in travel mode as you think you could be.
