I say get as many as you can.... and figure it out afterwards...
Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Arizona 2, Take a shot at Oregon & Washington and if you can only get 2-3 so be it...
Ultimately the larger you are, (as long its with decent programs), the more power you have in negotiating tv & streaming deals.
If we could get both arizonas, and Utah we would have 2 new rivalries between AState & ASU and Utah vs BYU, rivalries actually show to increase revenues & viewing participation (even for people who are not fans of either program, simply because they want to know which rival is best)..
We have a TV market that spans from Florida to Utah, thats pretty broad compared to SEC, ACC, or Pac10..
Now is when you are overly aggressive.... Its like buying real estate or stocks in 2009... There are more and more ways to monetize your network these days, and conferences havent even really began to tap into their full potential. If the BIG12 is operated by savvy business people, they should absolutely attack and pull a few programs over... Monetizing scale is the easy part...
