As you know we got a BIG RECRUITING WEEKEND coming up TOMORROW!!!!
They will all be at the Basketball game on Saturday at the HUMP.
We need to make sure that we show them that they are wanted in Starkville.
Lets really rock the HUMP and make some noise for them and make sure they enjoy their experience. This is the future of our football program.
CHAD BUMPHIS, JOSH BOYD, and FLETCHER COX need signs made and their names chanted.
I will have my MONTRELL CHOO CHOO CONNER sign and I would love to see the student section filled with signs like RUSSEL for HEISMAN.
Lets do our part in helping bring in our best recruiting class ever!!!

it should be packed and our fans should get loud with Vandy coming in. Game should be a battle and should show the recruits how we support our teams

coleman coliseum crowd looked sparse/weak for a basketball game against the corndogs. glad they scheduled that game on Sunday opposite the NFL playoffs........

Is that the grizzlies? If so, is it new? Never seen it, but it looks pretty cool.

yeah when they changed the color scheme, they modified this old logo too. The bear claw on the ball is a great logo.

I saw Hog fans holding up signs for recruits last week, and I thought it was stupid. It may be the way of the world these days, but if kissing 18 year old football players' asses in public by holding up signs is the new way to beg for their services... count me out.

Two star projects don't need signs and their butts kissed. Four and five stars need to feel the love because you can bet that other schools have done so. What in the world is wrong with a few students making some signs? Good lord, if you are afraid it will damage your manhood, you don't have to make one. But at least you got to post something negative here, so mission accomplished.

they started chanting his name side to side (ala Maroon - White). It worked for them. I think we need to do whatever it takes to get the guys we need on campus. 17 all this too cool for crap attitude. It's like in business, you do what you have to do to make the sell. If they all come in at one time, the whole place needs to give them a standing o. The Bulldog Hostesses, SA, or Rowdies need to make signs and pass them out. These guys need to feel wanted no matter the cost; business is business.

I seriously can't think of a better way for the Rick's Rowdies to serve their purpose. I just wish everybody would get as excited as they do. Maybe not take it to that extreme, but what the hell.

I thought the same thing. However, if you watched the GT/Duke game Wednesday night you saw the GT crowd recognize a high profile recruit that had committed to them earlier in the day with a standing ovation. I couldn't tell exactly what was going on as I had the volume down listening to our game, but it kind of looked like something orchestrated by the school. Now I'm not sure what the rule dealing with this is.

They got a commitment from Derrick Favors, a top five hoops recruit from Atlanta. Auburn actually thought they could recruit him.

Is that monday is a holiday so a lot of students are going home this weekend, but there still should be enough to fill the student section.

you can make a huge Choo Choo for President sign. Either way, it will affect the recruiting of exactly ZERO of those 18 year olds.

I promise, me thinking something is stupid doesn't preclude it from happening... Stupid things get done/said all the time without my approval. I want MSU to be good in football, so if that's what it takes these days, go for it. Like I said originally, just count me out of the sign-making business.

And I think you have me confused with someone else if you think I like to post negative stuff. I'm Mr. F'ing Sunshine compared to most on this board. Look it up.

Edited to take some piss & vinegar out of my post. I'm hoping for a more peaceful 2009. We're all friends here in Bulldog Nation, right D@A?

it would make sense that he/she and you are more in touch with the 18 year old male brain. I'm okay with that.

I bet I know more about how to pleasure women, though, so it kinda evens out. People have different priorities.

I know the staff is putting a big push on this weekend, this may be a "suggestion" from the inside.
And I'm not really worried about pleasuring women... more about them pleasuring me.
