Sounds like somebody wants a free trip to New York during the Christmas season.
Not a bad idea it is a fun city to visit during that time. He'll need a jacket.

You ever remember a legit heisman candidate referred as "Jekyll and Hyde" or "Good Bo/Bad Bo"?

Other than Boise, he is having a very good season. It's not Heisman worthy yet, especially the # of TDs, but this isn't all that surprising. Undefeated teams in the top ten this time of year are going to be looked at for candidates.

Also, don't be surprised if Hugh starts trying to increase Bo's stats late in games that they are winning. Any sure win in their remaining schedule will include a lot of Bo running the ball in the red zone.

But nooooo... They pay no attention to what's going on over in Starkville. None what so ever. I think I hear the "deuce for Heisman" print machines getting refitted as we speak.

Hell, he's got a chance to put up some big numbers in the next few games, and the numbers aren't bad now. But I can't see him getting in front of Dak unless MSU drops a couple of games and we don't. (The Egg Bowl will be bursting at the seams with meaning as it is.)

His numbers a quite comparable to Dak's.

Wallace deserves some mention but Kellenberger and Heisman article shouldn't go together after this summer.

The best thing you can say about Bo Wallace is that he's not throwing the interceptions he usually throws. Sounds like a surefire Heisman guy to me. He's the quarterback of an undefeated team in the top 5. That's the only reason people are talking about him at all. Once they lose a game or two he will drop off the map quickly.

My personal opinion of Bo is that he is a very good QB, but not a real heisman candidate because he is more of a system QB. He has a high completion percentage, but most of his passes are screens. If the team got behind and had to air it out to win, I think that would be very problematic for Ole Miss. If he can show that he can do that, it would push him up the list.

Having Prescott, Mariota, and Petty on the list is a problem for him though.

I mean... I agree... But it's kinda hard to say what you said... "if the team got behind and they had to air it out to win" is exactly how they beat bama.

I would say that is not a sustainable way to win games. His passing stats are so good because he's a passing QB on a team that can't run the football.

Bo is a good QB and is key to their success and they are having a great year. I

don't think he is as talented as Dak nor is he the leader Dak is but give him some credit.

Dennis Dodd had him in the top 3 for some reason, I disagree

I certainly think he could end up in the race simply by being solid and riding our defense. He still doesn't have a turnover in SEC play. An even odder one was at least two articles I saw, plus heard some folks on TV say it, that RN should be a candidate as he's the driving force behind our defense.

So first Kellenberger writes a story on how Dak Prescott ISN'T a candidate and then writes a story on how Bo Wallace IS a candidate. ......other than PSA's and obituaries the Clarion Ledger should really just close up shop and bid sayonara.

Yep. On Dan Patrick this morning. Don't know if character counts but hasn't BW gotten a couple of arrests while at scUM not to mention some embarrassing youtube video of him with the Kimmy brothers?

Dak the current fav at 9/4. Bo at 20/1.

FWIW.

Also, FSU @ 6/1 for NC with MSU @ 7/1, the other MSU at 15/2, and OM at 15/2.

Yeah, I just typed all that out and it's 17ing bizzare.

ok, devil's advocate here...or maybe the voice of reason...i dunno.

i think its warranted. now, dont get me wrong, bro is no dak, but people from the outside look at undefeated teams as to the key to their success. bro is playing very well right now and has that offense clicking and he was surgical against aTm from the clips i saw. obviously, the heisman cant be awarded to a unit (om defense) so bro is the natural choice if you are looking to award an MVP on that team. Dak is in the drivers seat and will be as long as we dont lose more than 2 games. he is a near lock to make the trip to new york. bro is fighting an uphill battle at this point.

Rushing 89 yards 2 td's

Dak: passing 1469 yds 14 td's 4 ints
Rushing 576 yds 8 td's

OM punts on 8 of 11 offensive possesions

against a team that 10th statistically in overall Defense in the SEC???

yeah, this is a desperate grasp at trying to steal a little of the spot light from State and Dak. Nothing more. This should surprise anyone.

I can admit Bo is a good QB when he shows up, but a Heisman candidate...nah.

also.. This h15sman worthy Qb is leading an offense that for the last two games has put up less yards than the "best defense in the sec" has allowed. They have been out gained twice.. And I bet that number grows.

Don't forget completion percentage (I know we cook the system in our favor there). The rushing numbers are not comparable, I agree, although Bo will get more rushes than he has had from here on out. I'm not saying Bo is a better candidate or likely to win, but if OM goes 5-1 or 6-0 the second half of the season he will be in the discussion. Dak is obviously the front runner right now.

I admit I didn't look at the rushing numbers when I posted that, just passing stats. They aren't comparable in that respect right now, no.

The difference between Dak and Bo is , ole miss is talking about Bo, while the national media is talking about Dak .

Oops......

I admit I didn't look at the rushing numbers when I posted that, just passing stats. They aren't comparable in that respect right now, no.

And that is a mighty big oops. You have heard of the term 'dual-threat'?

Oh, and you say his rushing numbers aren't comparable 'right now' as if you expect bo peep to suddenly start running for 100+ ypg which he couldn't do if he was on horseback.

Takes some moxie and insight to correct someone who has already corrected himself. Is that what you mean by "dual threat?" We'll see how the rushing numbers look after the regular season—like I said, the big thing is winning out.

Oh and check out this hilarious quote from bear cub hughie.........

About Treadwell....

"Receiver Laquon Treadwell may be the most-talented skill position player on the team. But his numbers (30 catches, 415 yards, four touchdowns) are not among the top five in the SEC because of a balanced offense."

Balanced offense? Is that a joke or something? UMissy is 2nd in passing and 12th in rushing. That doesn't sound balanced to me.

Here Hugh, let me show you balance. MSU 4th passing and 3rd rushing: 2nd in TO.

Didn't correct you. Just highlighting the significance of such a glaring mistake. You better hope bo doesn't start running the ball that much more because he's not built to take the punishment especially with your weak OL. Oh and BTW, consider what Dak's numbers would look like had he not traded possessions with DW in the first quarter of games 1-3 or if he had stayed in the game more than a half against USM?
