Oh I’m sure he is political and I’m sure he’s way more liberal than the average NFL fan (and definitely the average SPS poster). But my point is no one was worried about Lamar performing in a dress. Obviously, that picture isn’t real but it generated clicks because it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for bad bunny to attempt that. That’s the agenda I’m referring to, not left vs right in a political sense.
I had never heard of Bad Bunny until a bunch of guys who had also never heard of him told me how terrible it was that they were having him, a “non American” perform for the Super Bowl. Now I get to hear the same guys who “don’t listen to his music” and aren’t going to watch it critique how terrible his performance was. Can’t wait.
To be fair, there are very many fashionistas on here. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

True story: my dad went with my grandmother to an Elvis concert. Dad says he was shocked at how my normally very reserved grandma was going crazy and screaming for Elvis. You should see the 70 80 year old ladies go wild for the Elvis impersonator at the Mexican restaurant on a Tuesday night. True story. I haven't been to that place in a few years but we walk in and it's packed and old ladies losing it for Elvis. Had no idea what was happening.

Well he's a man who refers to himself as "Bad Bunny" so the dress isn't terribly surprising.
I don't really know his music but he was great in the movie Bullet Train. I know him more from SNL skits than his music but apparently he is the #1 music artist in the world.
I would assume since the NFL is trying to get a international audience (rumors are every team will have an international game) that they are doing this to get more eyes on the game. The “non-American” stuff cracks me up. He is a natural born American citizen. The same people complaining about him have had zero issue with the multiple artists who absolutely weren’t American citizens prior to him.

Thanks to y'all, I know more about Bad Bunny now than I ever did before. Before this thread, the only thing I knew about him is that he's a part time celebrity WWE "wrestler" and appeared at WrestleMania. I'm so glad when people who "don't care about" a particular person, does a deep dive on that person so they can then complain about the person they supposedly "don't care about."
